Location and contact

Our well-established traditional Venetian restaurant and bar is family-run since 1986.We are within short walking distance fromSaint Lucia trainstation in Venice on tranquil, tucked away Calle della Misericordia street. Service ispleasingly informal with jazzy music and relaxingatmosphere. Our place is most popular among the Venetians as well as with tourists. The exact location of our restaurantcan be found through Google maps. Please type in a search box "Osteriaal Cicheto Venezia. We specialized in classic Venetiancuisine based on seasonal dishes. Our Osteria is ideal for a quick stop/cocktail hour to have aglass of wine with cichèti as well asfor a hot-plate at lunch or a full (3 course meal)

Tiny place (if you plan to go there book in advance), yes they do speak in English. Cucina ottima, excellent food, vino anch’esso ottimo, also excellent wine. Qualità prezzo impagabile ovunque, figuriamoci a Venezia. Incredible value for money, anywhere, even more so in Venice. Ringrazio...More

I was fortunate to get a table; strolled in at 7.30pm on a Tuesday with my fingers crossed. Having read trip advisor reviews Osteria Al Cicheto was my 1st choice and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the pumpkin souffle to start, which was more dense...More

Arrived here with great expectations. It's one of those restaurants which you know that it has got it right. For us in this case, it was as it says on the tin...just not good enough! I can't fault the ambience and service, which was cozy...More

The reason we stopped her was to try a wine that had been recommended to us, unfortunately they didn't sell that one by the glass...But we stayed anyway and tried another. They have a good selection of wines by the glass, and something to cater...More

For some reason, I have a tradition of ordering simple dishes at places where I am unsure how food is. If the bolognese is good, means they can cook.

As longtime lovers of Venezia, we always search out the places patronized by the locals. This hidden gem is one of the greatest reasons for doing so. We recently visited Al Chicheto, a tiny osteria near our hotel and were fortunate enough to secure a...More

We only popped in here for a drink as it was in the same alley as our hotel. A good selection of beer and wine and a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food looked good as well even though we didn't eat here.

We visited al Cicheto two days before we left Venice. It was really a warm place to eat and drink. We had 2-course dinner with beef steak tartare and stuffed squids. It was the first time that I tasted stuffed squids and I can say...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
