A fast meal with nice good spices and fast for a good price! You can find it in a narrow and cosy street.

Over the last year I have used TA pretty extensively to eat at the top ranked restaurants and found that 90% of the time I come out disappointed. This place did so in the most spectacular fashion. Considering it is sitting 7th on the charts in Venice and there was a line of 30 people deep when we arrived, we... More

This place had a 20 minute wait out the door on a busy day. Back to the other restaurant around the corner. But well worth the wait. Awesome homemade pasta and excellent sauce. Quite fresh. Bring the family and eat down the road in front of a church and watch the gondolas drift by.

Staff very friendly & though there was a queue, we were served quickly. We had the pesto & bolognese pasta. Great for on the go. Gets very crowded around there & very popular but we found a quiet spot to sit & eat our food. Definitely recommend.

We were there as soon as it opened, but a large group of about 50 had arrived before us. The guys behind the counter were working furiously to complete their orders; 10 boxes of pasta a minute! They were apologetic to me and my boyfriend even for the 5 minute wait, repeatedly assuring us that our orders were coming. The... More

Amazing find while walking the streets of Venice and noticing everyone with a box of pasta to go. We went and had a Bellini and fresh pasta with basil! It melted in my mouth and the sauce was so flavorful.

This is the place to go for a quick inexpensive lunch or an early dinner. It is tricky to find but just look for the huge line. The line moves quickly. A good size portion of pasta is 5-6 euro. The food is good but not excellent.

I ordered the nero spaghetti and my boyfriend the bolognese farfalle however I initially received spaghetti with the tomato/cream sauce. Not sure how they mixed that up but I was so impressed at how they handled the error - they immediately provided the correct pasta and gave us the other one on the house! The pasta was freshly made and... More

This sounded pretty great. We have had a lot of pasta for lunch from rifugios in the Dolomites to here in Venice. Wow! Best ever, that should be good. But it was just okay for food on the run, and we ate some pretty quick lunches while hiking in the Dolomites. A quiet moment to sit and rest, even open... More

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
