We found our way here much easier than expected. There is always a line so you know it's good! But it moves quick and you get your food just as quick! There is a small area outside where you can eat and a few seats inside aswell and there's WiFi! Overall a great place and a must when in Venice!

When you stumble upon this small unassuming place in a quiet side street you'll know you've struck gold! There is always a smallish queue and the smell coming from within is divine. Choose your pasta, then your sauce and then any extra meat or cheese you fancy. Off they'll go to prepare your freshly made pasta delight. 2-3 minutes later... More

The community of Trip advisers never disappoint! We found this take out pasta place through TripAdvisor, and it was definitely one of the most memorable meals we had in Venice. When we got there the line wasn't very long, it has varieties of choices and all under 10 euro or less. The portion looks small but it will definitely fill... More

We found our way here easier than anticipated, not very far from Saint Marks. I was expecting a long line but there were only a very people ahead of me and in a very short time I was handed my takeout carton of fresh made pasta with pomodoro sauce. Was it the best pasta of my life? No. But it... More

These guys are real pasta enthusiasts! They're friendly and clearly enjoy making a good product. Slightly too salty for our tastes but super fresh!

We've been to this wee take away twice so far. Both nights my husband had the spaghetti bolognese. I tried the pesto on the second. The food has been consistently quick, hot and delicious. All freshly made and only 6 or 7 euro each. Really friendly, helpful staff too. A really good quick fix when you're starving in Venice and... More

Fresh tasty pasta to go. I'd stop here if I was passing, but I wouldn't search it out. There's not many of these 'take away' pasta shops though so if you want it, it's ok

We were duped by the "pasta to go" place around the corner - Ristorante Stefano. Don't make that mistake! It was terrible and thankfully just a waste of 13 euro. I got the carbonara, which isn't on the menu but they made it for me. My husband got the pesto. Delicious!

My husband and I went here during a couple days we had in Venice. We traveled all around Italy and this place is honestly some of the best pasta in Italy. It's all fresh made, great flavour and super affordable. I think it was 6 or 7 euro for a huge portion - which is the way it should be... More

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
