Dal Moro's serves the best fresh pasta to go in Venice! The restaurant is very small and you need to find somewhere to eat afterwards but the service is really nice and quick. We recommend the pesto and mama rosa ones!

This is a great place to catch a bite to eat. The pasta is fresh and the sauces are delicious. The line moves quickly and the restaurant is busy for good reason. It was more than I could eat by myself.

Visited Venice on a day trip from Pula, Croatia with my sister. We didn't have long, so used TA to create our own food-based itinerary. After gelato, our next stop was pasta! This place came highly recommended so off we went in search! The shop isn't too far from St. Mark's Square, on a tiny back street. If you still... More

I've had many ink pasta since I love the pasta but I'm sure this place serves one of the best ink sauce and tender(fresh) cuttlefish with it. It's a modestly priced and everyone loves to go there. I know I'm hooked. The only thing was the spaghetti seemed a bit thick. I'm not used to thick spaghetti, it seems like... More

Judging by the line of people waiting this place is really popular and for a good reason! If you're on a really tight budget this could easily be something you could eat your entire stay. Fast, delicious, fresh and cheap, it can't get much better

We went here twice! There is always a queue but it goes really quickly -really fast food here! What made us come back was the lively, down to earth atmosphere, the servers were so friendly and engaging, one guy was joking around with us and gave us free parmesan topping! The price was just excellent value for money. The quality... More

After finding this gem of a place, me and my Partner couldn't stop going back! This is by far the best pasta I've ever eaten in my life! I have been to Italy three times too. It's hidden away in the allies of Venice but one worth finding. The food tasted so good and it's all fresh, the staff are... More

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
