This is one of the few solutions to eat well with a reasonable price in Venice.
You could eat at the restaurant or take to go. We have 2 pastas to go and 2 pizzas marinara and both choice were very tasty.

Thank you for taking the time to write these kind words.
We read in your review that you choose 2 pastas to go and 2 pizzas marinara. We do not offer pizza on our menu. Only freshly made pasta and homemade tiramisù. Are...More
This place is perfect for when you need a meal but don't have the time or energy to find a restaurant. When we first arrived in Venice, we were tired and hungry after our travels. This was the first stop since we wanted something quick...More
I can only hope they one day branch out to England! We loved the food here so much that we came back multiple times! Big portions, delicious and cheap! I think it was around 15 euros for 2 beers and 2 mains.
Stopped here with my wife because of all of the stellar TA and YouTube comments. Needless to say, DM does not disappoint. The food was excellent and VERY affordable. Plus, the owner, Johnny, was very friendly and personable. This is a great find for both...More
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a
strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
