It's good pizza, not exceptional by any stretch of the imagination, but it's freshly made in front of you and at 2.50 for a big slice, you can't go wrong! For a quick, cheap, tasty lunch on the hoof in one of the most expensive cities on earth- it's good.

I wanted to try street food rather than eating in restaurants all the time and was not disappointed. Great selection and communication was not an issue.

We were tired of fancy expensive stuff and wanted to get some good grub with a bottle of wine. The gorgo e speck pizza was fabulous! If you like Gorgonzola cheese and speck (smoked prosciutto) that is. Grab a bottle of wine around the corner at the Coop market and have a picnic over at St. Mark's square!

This is a good stop for a quick pick of a pre baked sliced pizza but. The pizza was overall too gummy and soft (having lost the crispness) the quality of the pastry was also closer to fastfood pizza rather than to HQ pizzeria. Good and tasty and affordable but nothing special.

We love crazy pizza crazy pizza ;) if you know what I mean. He makes affordable and delicious pizza which warm our hearts and bellies in the cold weather. Also, he provided us with wi-fi for us to find our stay in Venice. We are very grateful to him for that.

Small corner shop, the inviting smell is the only reason you don't miss it. Surprisingly nice pizza, favorite even amongst the locals.

Nothing too fancy here at Crazy Pizza. Just a super friendly Mohamed whipping up deliciously made thin crust pizza that will not only fill your stomachs but also warm your hearts. Highly recommended!

The service is really friendly, the pizza is tasty, however, not the best in Venice, the prices are really cheap. Recommended!

Small pizza shop east of the Rialto Bridge, great pizza and only 2.50 for a large slice.

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
