Suso is tucked away in an arcade but well worth finding. Friendly service, reasonable price and most of all outstanding gelato.

Couldn't ask for more really. Helpful and friendly service and cheaper than you'd expect for Venice Place isn't too difficult to find either as some might have said, depends upon which alley you turn down Would thoroughly recommend, so much so I know I'll be visiting it more than once while I'm here

Food - Very good. We enjoyed the gelato here, it was fresh and light and just what we needed after a long day of walking. Service - Very good. The man serving us was very patient and let us try all the gelato we asked about, even though we were only asking for the flavours as we couldn't understand the... More

I popped in for a gelato and tried one which had pistachio in it and it was amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful with my bad Italian. It's not far from the Rialto bridge so if you're in the area pop along and treat yourself :)

Suso is a wonderful little ice cream shop tucked away in the jumble of streets of Venice. It's been a long time since we had ice cream with such vivid and enjoyable flavors. Everything we tried was fantastic with special emphasis on the pistachio and dark chocolate. Very worth a visit or more than one. And cheap too.

My husband is a big gelato fan and found this place online so we went out in search of it. Very close to Rialto bridge it's clean and staff very friendly with great English. We wanted to try everything!! Price was reasonable at €1.80 for 1 scoop & €3 for 2 scoops in a wafer tub (which I'd never tried... More

One of the best Gelato we had during our trip to Venice. I had the Opera (Mix of chocolate and Hazelnut). My friends tried a mix of Dark chocolate and coffee, and the Pistachio and all of them were amazing.

We had the Suso -- toffee and caramel -- and strawberry flavours. Both were top quality! Would go back again and again to try the other flavours! Prices were decent too. Highly recommended.

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
