The crema di doge of this little gelateria is to die for, but all ice cream flavors are great. This is a must-eat when you're in Venice!

Best gelato we had in Venice. You know it's fresh because you can watch them making it!! Didn't see that anywhere else in Venice.

Ice creams are good. BUT the place advertises itself as gluten free vegan. In fact they do NOT offer gluten free cones and the vegan options are in fact the sorbets.

This is a great gelato place in the campo magherita square area. There is a good selection of flavors, with their speciality orange/chocolate crema il doge mix amazing. The peach and caramel were also good. Prices were 2.50 euros for 2 quite big scoops and 3.50 for 3. An excellent dessert.

Top notch gelato at a really good price. I had the lemon and an orange cream flavor, recommend them both. Check it out if you're nearby.

We had very flavorful tasting gelato here, nocciola, pistachio, mango, and mixed berries. I definitely recommend you go there.

The title says it all! This was the best gelato we had in the 12 days we were in Italy. It was a little difficult to find based on some of our map apps but that's Venice. I'm sure I could go on and on about how creamy it was and how delicious the flavors but the basics are that... More

Lovely little Ice-Cream place with what I must say the best we tasted during our week long stay. A personal favourite was the Amerrea Kirsh (cherry) with real bits of fruits making it the perfect summers afternoon flavour with the option to upgrade to a waffle rather than wafer cone which many places refused to do. We went way out... More

This is a fantastic little ice-cream place. Only €1.50 per scoop which is great value. All made from natural ingredients. Ameretto, chocolate, and chocolate chip flavours were great. So good I went straight back for another one! Highly recommended!

In the eastern corner of the Campo Santa Margherita square, it is run by two cousinswho make their own seasonal gelatos and ices, and it has to be one of the the very best gelaterias in Venice! Read your forum for more on this one.

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
