We had a great dinner here during a recent trip to Venice. While we had a later reservation, they accommodated an earlier arrival for us. The menu is interesting - a combination of venetian dishes, and also some italian/asian fusion. The food was very good - also very good service. We would come back.

Stumbled across this restaurant in the course of a Sunday afternoon walk and were so intrigued by the declared philosophy of the owner ( Asian / Venetian fusion) that we booked a table for dinner that night. We were not disappointed, the venue is absolutely charming and the service helpful, friendly and super-efficient and the food - as another reviewer... More

We found this place and loved it. The service was great and the food fabulous especially the tiramisu. We hope to go back...if we can find it again!

We chose dishes suggested by the owner and they were absolutely phenomenal. One was the fish you cook yourself on the heated salt block. May sound strange but it was amazing! Location is stunning, whether you eat inside with the beautiful decor, or outside, along a quiet canal (gondoliers regularly passed by).

Excellent meal for our last night in Venice. The restaurant was a little pricey, but the food was excellent and the service was great too. We arrived rather late (near 9:45) and there were no more outdoor tables. We sat inside and ordered drinks. When we were ready to order from the menu, the waiter asked us to wait just... More

Very quiet and intimate place, with a view on a small water chanel. Lovely place. Food is quite expensive (~18€ a starter, ~28€ a dish) but very tasty. Wine is great and affordable. Waiters are friendly. The 10 % service charge is the only bad surprise...espacially on top of a 130€ bill ! Still recommended if you catch a table... More

Incredible taste and very fresh ingredients! It's my favourite restaurant in Venice, nice owners, very nice place. It's also a great pleasure to see the artistic composition of the food.

We were looking for a nice restaurant that wouldn't be the usual tourist place and then we found this gem. Quiet, nice location and great food! We were thrilled to have found this place! We highly recommend it.

We stopped for beer and wine in the afternoon. Nice owner, good a/c, outside table, great view of the canal. Lots of gondolas going by but located on a spot that is not crowded.

Wow. What a great way to finish our nine day Italian tour on our honeymoon. We stumbled upon this gem walking the streets during the day and went back to find a table for dinner! Our waitress was kind, friendly, and attentive. The house wine was delicious as well as our meals and dessert! If you get the chance to... More

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
