We ate here on our last night in Venice and it completely RUINED our night!!! The waitress was absolutely shocking with her service when she is outside trying to get u in she is so nice like butter wouldn't melt. Well I'll tell you this I am not one to complain but once we went in the door she changed,... More

Looked nice from outside, waitress friendly until we said we didn't want water or wine, just a soft drink. Mixed seafood was bland , seafood spaghetti was salty and barely edible, some of our order didn't even arrive by the time we had finished eating which was a small mercy as it meant we didn't pay for it. Sadly we had... More

God only knows how we came to choose this place! The food was not great, probably the worst pizza I have had, the sides which were pretty much forced on you were extremely expensive (side salad for €9) drinks expensive also. The service was bad, no offer of bread sticks which other tables have, no Parmesan, the waitress didn't check... More

It was our first day and we were tired and hungry at 8pm, so weren't choosy. The pizza was really not great so I wouldn't recommend the place. The waitress was good with the kids. Three pizzas, two tins of sprite at €4.50 each, half bottle of wine was total €70. Poor.

We have asked waiter twice that are the prices final (and do they use cover charge and is service included), waiter said that prices are total and final. She lied to us. In the end they charged our bill by 20 EUR of cover charge, bar charge and service charge. Portions are very small and don't worth of paying for... More

Please read all the other reviews (like so many, I wish I had checked before going in). Complete RIP OFF. The pizza prices look very reasonable, but when they offer you bruschetta as an appetizer, you don't realize until the bull comes that it is MORE EXPENSIVE and SMALLER than the pizza! Though very friendly and inviting while ripping you... More

We'd done really well avoiding the traps in Venice but today we failed. Being very tired and very very hungry we were enticed inside by the waitress standing outside and even more so by the crowd of locals inside (I now assume they are treated much better than tourist.) Up till today we had been religious about looking up a... More

Like many before, we should have walked on by. Please do not go anywhere near this place. The food is sub-mediocre but what really hurts is the service of the staff (actually it's not service, its bullying, and I genuinely hope this pathetic restaurant does not damage the Venice brand for much longer). The waitress in charge is brash, smokes... More

Rip off joint. My pizza was €10 and 1 beer was €38. Absolute rip off place. The waitress will force you to enter in...n order beers. She will empty your pockets with huge bills n charges.

We were a group of 5 friends trying to find a different place that was recommended. Its not hard to get lost in the streets of Venice, so we finally gave up trying to find the other place, and stumbled into this restaurant. we figured, how bad could it be? Waitress seem to be nice and accommodating. We asked for... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
