The waiter is rude. The food is the worst in my entire Venice trip and yet, the price is not the lowest. The restaurant is not clean. All the tables are placed to each other closely.

Me and my boyfriend went into this place for ir a quick lunch during our stay in venice. We entered as it looked nice and busy. As we sat down and looked at the menu the prices were not cheap but hoping in good food we ordered. We had a glass of water which was supposed to be one euro... More

The only reason we stopped at this bar was to use the facilities. The toilets were dirty, there was no toilet paper or soap. We had five cappucinos and two honey brioches and were horrified to be charged 21 euros! Do not ever go to this revolting bar!

Came across this place while desperately hungry. Ate a very sad slice of lasagne, tasted like frozen, with no sides for €8. My husband had the pizza which he said wasn't too bad. The place was also filthy (floor was sticky and black in spots). Keep walking.

We went into the restaurant for a rest and had some afternoon coffee. The service was terrible. Even we lived in an apartment next door, we didn't even bother entering it again.

Me and my partner came across this place when waiting for a tour we were on to start. The wait staff were rude to begin with so my boyfriend just decided to grab a Coke while we waited for our tour. The waitstaff ignored my boyfriend when he tried to pay for his drink and even then we were very... More

The service was lackluster and the food was barely average. They had the usual panini and basic pasta, none of which was particularly good. You're better off finding another bar in the area.

Came across this place in an evening at a trip to Venice. Terrible services and poor foods. But the worst part is they served us red wine in champagne glass. Seriously?

Stopped here in the afternoon for a fairly solid lunch. The caprese salad was nothing to behold - I wouldn't order it again. The main meal was quite nice though - I had spaghetti carbonara which was one of the nicest I have had, and I've had a few. A couple of other spaghetti dishes were also nice. Ordered a... More

Nipped in for a spot of lunch. We had a fairly decent feed but only after we’d worked out that we needed to sit down first and give our order to the waiter rather than go up to the lady behind the sandwich counter.

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
