My wife found this hidden gem in a travel guide, and it was a real delight. The manager graciously set up an extra table for us outside (highly recommended) and soon made us feel at home. We got half a liter of the house white,...More

My wife and I ate there on June 8th, 2020. It was a major wedding anniversary, of which we did not alert the staff. It is an intimate restaurant, and the music played was all about love. We wanted a light red, and our waitress...More

Everything the reviews say and more. We were staying 50 feet away at the Suites alla Maddalena (which by the way is an excellent alternative to traditional hotels) in Cannaregio and were lucky to book a table our last night. Would have eat there every...More

The food as this place was definitely more sophisticated than the average pizza. 4 of us shared two starters and each had a main course, it was plenty and all very tasty.

Visited during the Akva Alta with my girlfriend. We had 2 starters, smoked salmon and ham + burrata, 1 first, pasta with clams and a panna cotta for dessert + wine and coffee. The food was solid, the wine great and the service friendly and...More

A very cosy place. We got a place for two on short notice. The antipasti was great (salmon, burrata citrus fruits). The spaghetti a.o.p. were the best I ever had. The main course, a flunder with vegetables, came fresh from the oven and tasted really...More

Fantastic food, very attentive service and a secluded and charming space combine to make this a great experience. We had the black ink spaghetti, the fresh fisn and great desserts with a superb Franciacorta. Will be back, no doubt. Two actual gondolieres were eating here....More

This is our 2nd trip to Venice and our 3rd time eating here. It's by far not the cheapest but they care, about their customers and about the food. The owner is there and preparing dishes as well. We would return again.

Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying

for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

Good idea to book because in Italy restaurants like people to book beforehand. You will need to contact the restaurant direct to make a booking..

Turn left when you're just out of the train station. Take the main road (lista di spagna - strada nova) and keep going for around 12 minutes. Turn right just before the third bridge you encounter. That's campo della maddalena
