This came highly recommended by my friend who is a local Venetian. To top it off on approval rating the night we were here we saw a celebrity British chef. The food is authentic delicious and not pricey at all. The risotto and the razor...More

Wonderful Surprise down an alley off of Rialto Bridge. Incredible variety of appetizers, main dishes and local wines. Menus in English, German and of course Italian.

This is steps off the main tourist route. Down a nondescript alley with a simple sign hanging outside that goes no idea of what is inside. Light space divided into rooms. You walk past the display of fish. Quickly shown to a table by friendly...More

Came here on a hunch off a few websites giving positive reviews on this restaurant that provided great service and fresh food (nothing from frozen) and we were not disappointed. It's quite close to the Rialto Bridge and down a tiny alleyway, well worth a...More

We were six of us and we all lived our meal. Mussels were probably the best I've ever had. Branzini roasted with veggies excellent as were the pastas. This is a solid Venice Trattoria

We were recommended here by a local. We were surprised to find the food simmering on the stove in the kitchen as we walked by on the way to our table. The food was fine but not the best of our trip. Staff was very...More

Luckily we sat next to a lovely couple who we shared great conversation with. The food was delicious and it came out FAST unlike any European place we've EVER been. However our waiter had 0 personality and we would have nothing nice to say about...More

I went to the restaurant for an early dinner. It wasn't my worst or my best meal in Venice. I had the fried calamari and scampi, it was very good. My friend had the seafood risotto, this dish was just okay. Dessert (tiramisu and house...More

The food was absolutely amazing and fresh. This said, the waiter tried to keep 20 euros worth of change It was obvious he tried his luck and we had to argue hard to get the money back. It left a bitter taste in our mouth...More

My husband and I were looking for some good, honest Venetian cooking and we found that and more at the Trattoria alla Madonna. If you venture past the most touristy of restaurants along the water's edge overlooked by the Rialto bridge, down an alleyway, you'll...More

San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the
Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six
sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest
neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the
markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops
display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San
Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi)
stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San

Sorry for the late response, I really don't know the prices, I'm sure they are adjusted according to the season... Hope you had a great meal if you went.

I enjoyed dining at all Madonna every time I visit Venice, but it's certainly not "fine dining." However it is open on some nights when other, better restaurants are closed, which is handy. The fish dishes (which is what... More
