if you want to have an italian style breakfast then you have to go in a small patiserie to have it. This one is just perfect!

Excellent coffee and pastry not too far from St Marks Square. It gets very busy in the morning but its a great place to hang and watch the bustle.

There’s no seating but it was a perfect place ta have an Aperol Spritz after an exhausting day sightseeing. Maybe it was because of the friendly staff. There were even some free snacks on the bar which complemented the drink quite well. They also sell pastry which was delicious even on the next day.

Amazing coffee and cakes. Best place that we found in Venice for a pit stop. All fresh. The shop is crowded but you can usually find a space to eat.

Stopped by while walking around Venice. Had a very good coffee and shared two pastries with my husband. The quality is good but there is no place to sit and it can get a bit crowded.

excellent place for breakfast especially for those who are in love with good espresso. Resonable over all price but pay attention for the bill: I was there three times in a row and each time had different price for same things! few cents difference but still ... A part of this, I definitely recommend it for a good morning breakfast

Indeed very good coffee, croissants are also nice. Prices are moderate. Best for "typical Italian breakfast".

We stumbled in here while getting lost through the streets of Venice, looking for a quick bite to eat and a quick drink. The chocolate eclair was very fresh and tasty. The cappuccino provided for a nice jolt and was also very good. However, what earned the 5th star was the small parma and mozzarella sandwich on a croissant.

We came here later in the day for a coffee and some sweets. The coffee was very good. The sweets really underwhelmed and seemed like they had been sitting a while. Maybe coming here in the morning would be better than evening. Also, the service wasn't rude but there were no smiles or helpful suggestions. Plenty of other better places... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
