I came to this place by the suggestion from this apps , yet apparently the 5 stars reviews was overrated . The gelato was nice and okay . The single gelato cost around 1.5€ with small portion . During our visit to Venice we have try several different kind of gelato , and this one offer less portion of one... More

Fabulous gelato - couldn't walk by without buying one for three days in a row while staying nearby. Authentic Italian gelato - many flavours changing daily according to season/freshness of ingredients. Friendly service, clean premises. Highly recommended. Everything an Italian gelateria should be. Yum!

we fond that gelateria during our walks in Venice, it's amazing, the taste is great, typically Italian ice cream

This place was great. Awesome gelato, friendly staff, and much better tasting than all of the tourist carts you'll find around Rialto.

Small clean gelateria with a very good selection of gelato. The mango is true mango flavor, no substitute flavoring. The price is fair for Venice - a great choice on a not summer Venetian day.

They had many exciting flavors. The staff was so sweet to us, and the ice cream, off corse, was amazing. I ordered a hazelnut flavored ice cream and my friend a sorbet, and they were both so flavorful.

A sweet little Gelatteria just down the street from the beautiful San Stae Church and conveniently, a water bus stop. The staff was very friendly and patient with our attempt at ordering in Italian. The gelato was authentic with vibrant flavors and wasn't the big fluffy piles you'll come across in busy tourist areas and ultimately, want to avoid.

Do not be fooled by the hole-in-the-wall appearance of this establishment as it serves marvellous gelato which tastes quite nice on a hot day. Both the texture and the flavour at this place are amazing. I would recommend the apricot as it stood out above all the other flavours.

It’s a classic ice-cream place with a nice selection of different flavors but there are also some classic Italian desserts, e.g. tiramisu, in tourist friendly containers which you can easily eat on the go. I have to say this tiramisu was just brilliant. It was so delicious we decided to visit this place on the next day as well but... More

So good! Unfortunately it was often closed when we went by, but it was definitely our favourite gelato in Venice, and we tried quite a few places!

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
