Didn't think it was anything overly special at the time but given the not so brilliant standard of some of the food in Venice, well worth a visit. Quite modern so lacks a certain quaintness but nothing wrong with it at all.

Enjoyed a delicious salad at this restaurant today at lunch. Fresh ingredients and a plentiful dish.

One of the better restaurants that was able to sit our large group outside. Staff was friendly. I ordered the duck gnocchi that was superb! The salad portions was huge and can definitely be shared. Calamari was also good appetizer. Best part of the meal was dessert - tiramisu was absolutely divine! Definitely recommend eating here!

+ Good quality, fast and care about customer. Wine was excellent! :) - Price could be lower, toilet must be cleaner.

One can eat inside or outside. The staff was fluent in English and was both serviceminded and efficient. The pizzas were huge and delicious. I always try to have dessert, but I was so full so we did not try the desserts. But we saw them, and they looked great, - especially the chocolate pyramid.

One thing we noticed about Italian restaurants, is that there are not a lot of meat options. This restaurant was just what we wanted. Châteaubriand was really good and fairly priced. We highly recommend

Happy to see Muro Fari still in same hands after 6 years - service still good, although inside very busy and outside starting to fill. We were lucky to get a table w/o booking. Food (pasta and pizza) both good, desserts (tirimasu and panna cotta) very good! Price still reasonable, but only just.

We found this restaurant by chance en route to the train station. Sited in a very quiet, narrow street close to the Friary church the Muro serves really good food that is priced in the mid-range bracket. While reserving a table at week-ends is advisable we decided to take a chance and were seated within 5 mins after arriving about... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
