We stumbled across this place whilst getting lost in Venice. They serve fantastic pizza by the slice. We had margarita and pepperoni which were some of the nicest pizza we had in Italy - so good we went twice in one day. They also sell ice cream which we also had and was really nice. Definitely worth a visit.

This gelato was very good. It was soft enough and it was flavourful enough but it is a full notch below the best in Venice. If you end up at Mille Voglie, I would recommend the blueberry.

I first heard of this place with my bus tour co, in 2012 the tour co was bad( Expat Tours) , but this was the only place they steered us right. I am certain the guide took us their for a reason ??. When I returned to Venice , it was not easy but I found the place, with my... More

Walked by on our way back to hotel and got a few slices for lunch. It was so good and affordable we decided to go again on our last night in Venice as a quick dinner. Fast service. Friendly staff. Great prices. Most slices of pizza were 2 euro or less and Coca Cola was 1 euro. Grab a few... More

Mille Voglie, on the main walking route from Piazzale Roma to the Ponte di Rialto, close to Scuola di San Rocco, consists of a ice cream counter and a counter where you can get a pizza slice. Go for the ice cream. It is home made and a selection of delicious flavours is available. I always stop there for an... More

We ate at some pricey restaurants in Venice, but had our best meals at this pizza shop. Slices are large, well-seasoned and have a soft/thin/brown (never burned) crust for 2 euro each. Perfect! They also offer a combo deal with the gato shop next door that serves a lovely crime de whiskey flavor, among many others. Lines can be long,... More

As most have said, the pizza and gelato here are out of this world!!!!! Will never find somewhere quite like this place. The pizza tasted from fresh ingredients and thin base. The gelato actually tasted of the flavour they stated. We loved raspberry, apple and pistachio flavour. We went every day whilst in Venice as not only was the food... More

We wandered children and all. Up bridge and down, in search of the best pizza, we were so hungry and flustered. We came upon this place. Wow! We fell in love! Perfect pizza! Every day on our trip we had to swing by here for a quick pizza and a gelato. Everyday just as amazing as our first experience. Great... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
