A delightful little wine and snack place. Came here whilst doing the walking tour in LP guide book. We had a a glass of wine each and a few cicchetti all for about 5.50euro. The shop has a good selection of cicchetti and the lady at the counter was more than happy to point out the flavours. It's by a... More

After an extensive walking tour of the Dorsoduro my guide pointed out this lovely local place for a quick bite and glass of wine. All the ciccheti offerings are displayed at the counter along with panini so you simply point to select and can either eat inside amongst the cases of wine bottles or outside along the canal. Either way... More

What a great discovery. Basically a wine and sandwich shop where one stands amongst the stock and so many other happy customers enjoying great cicchetti and fabulous wine at very reasonable prices. A must go repeat call every time we revisit Venice.

We stumbled across this place and it is a great little spot to have a drink and a little bite. Wine was €1 a glass and the bruschetta bites were delicious. Lots of unusual combinations that were very tasty. Definitely worth popping by.

My wife and I stopped by for a drink and some cicchetti while in Venice. It was definitely worth the visit, the artichokes and salami were delicious, and the prices were very reasonable, but we did not enjoy the crostini as much as we did at another cicchetti stop, and the spot was more crowded.

A bit pricy. But very good. 10 pieces 2 glasses of wine for around 18€ in September 2016. The tuna cocoa one is especially good.

The title is no farce, the family that owns the bar has won the contests several years in a row. I tried 4 different pieces. Don't be turned off by the outside - it looks like an old wine store (and the house wine is really good). Check it out. The carabinieri (police) eat there, so if you don't trust... More

Two out of three people that I had dealings with were polite and helpful. One guy was a little crabby, but there was a good selection of very tasty cicchetti. We tried quite a few. After we were finished we did not go out for dinned. They also have a huge selection of wines. We plan to visit again before... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
