We booked Sunday lunch for two, regrettably it was too cold to sit out in their garden. It was just as well we had booked, the restaurant was packed, including a number of local family parties. As during our previous visit last autumn, we enjoyed a superb meal. Our highpoint was a shared whole turbot, deboned at the table, a... More

Sit outside if you can. The back road is not too busy, and the atmosphere compliments the food perfectly. My wife, who is allergic to fish, fell in love with the veal inn lemon sauce. I love anything with shellfish, so the spaghetti with seafood was a perfect lunch. The following evening, it was pouring, so we opted to eat... More

Pretty hard to find, but really worth it. Excellent seafood risotto, minimum order 2. Make sure you save rooms for desserts.

The food was good, but the desserts, omg, absolutely divine and decadent! It is a family run, small restaurant with a warm atmosphere and attentive service. You got to try it, just for the dessert.

Over a small bridge and down a passageway you'll find this out of the way restaurant with a small but excellent menu. Arranged with a selection of traditional Italian courses we chose items from the Antipasta and Primo Platte sections, starting with the mixed Venetian Seafood and following that up with Seafood Rissotto. Both were delicious but if you go... More

Wonderful little family run restaurant in a quiet corner of Venice. Worth seeking out. The food was up there with the best we've eaten. The desserts were top drawers. Small and cosy place with a very personal feel. Nice service and a genuinely lovely dining experience. Prices were reasonable too, especially as the food quality was so high! We would... More

Incredible restaurant. Food is so good. Try the raw fish: it is superbe!!! The risotto is one of the Best I have ever tasted. Wine was perfect and both the chef and the waitress were extremely welcoming.

The restaurant looks quite nice and charming. Due to the high ratings on TripAdvisor we also had high expectations, wich the restaurant could not full fill at all. Sadly my girlfriend felt sick after a few hours and we didn't had any other dishes in between. Honestly she hasn't the strongest stomach, but from my point of view this is... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
