No Lasagne, no pizza. We wandered aimlessly for hours and then wandered back for the best food imaginable. So worth walking back.

This was the first meal my husband and I had on our honeymoon to Italy and it was fantastic! We had the sarde en saor, the seafood risotto, and the sea brim dish with orange sauce and all were incredible. For desert we had tiramisu...and the panna cotta and I must say the tiramisu we had here was the best we had in our nature trip. The waitress was also so kind and attentive, and her husband is the chef!More

My husband and I stumbled across this hidden gem. Our hotel actually booked us another restaurant along the Rialto Bridge but I cancelled it as I didn't like the menu. I'm so glad we decided to come to this family run restaurant instead. The husband...is the chef and the wife was serving the restaurant patrons. She is such a lovely lady. She was really busy and yet she was so sweet and patient. The food was delicious. We started with a Venetian seafood style salad which my husband loved. He practically licked the plate clean. We ordered 3 pastas and finished off with 2 desserts. I absolutely love the pasta! If I'm not wrong, it's freshly made. It was really good and I can't get enough of it. The tiramisu was fabulous and as someone who doesn't rate tiramisu, I finished all of it.More

We always take a food tour when we arrive in a city (pro tip from our daughters). In Venice our guide Sara gave us some “rules” for not eating at touristy places in Italy. Here are a few reasons NOT to go to a restaurant:...- pictures of food out front - “barker” out front enticing you in - NO spaghetti and meatballs.!!! Well this place does not have any of these things. In fact they have written in marker over their menu outside: “no lasagna” “no spaghetti!” They don’t have a sign. There is no way we could find this place except stumbling past it as we tried to get to our hotel…. This seemed to fit all the requirements of Not touristy, so we decided to have our last dinner in Venice there. It was fantastic. We got the mixed seafood risotto for 2 which was fantastic. A bottle of local merlot was €24. It is small and the owner served all the tables herself. The whole meal with 2 salads and tiramisu was under €100. What a fantastic taste of real Venice!More

What a wonderful, intimate venue! We met the owner (wife) and had her choose the menu items for us (2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 dessert). She was extremely gracious and attentive. All chosen food was delicious! Highly recommend...

Came here because it was near our hotel and I'd seen the reviews. It's quite difficult to find but worth it. A small restaurant with a few tables in the courtyard outside run by a husband who is the chef. Menu quite short but everything...we ate was beautiful and delicate and their house wine was the best I tasted in Venice.More

Great family owned restaurant. We ate here our first night in Venice. We were exhausted from the day. It was our first night in Venice and we wanted a restaurant close by our hotel. We looked on google maps and checked some of the menus...of restaurants close by us. My spouse wanted pasta in squid ink sauce. This restaurant had it on their menu and it was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel so we went. No reservation. We had a bit of a time finding it, but so glad we did. The restaurant is very small, maybe 12 tables. The waitress, is the owners wife. She is wonderful. They had one table available when we showed up. My spouse had his pasta in the squid ink sauce and I had pasta in a spicy marinara sauce. The food was excellent. We enjoyed it so much we made reservations for dinner 3 nights later. If you are looking for a small, family owned local place to eat with home style cooking this is the place.More

It took us just 10 min from Rialto bridge to find the restaurant in a narrow street. It was recommended by a friend in wine export business and a great foodie so we wanted to check it out. We were a group of four colleagues...from several countries with some very picky food and wine experts among us - and it exceeded everyone’s expectations. We came very late so we’re lucky to get a table. The restaurant is very small, less than a dozen of tables, and has a very intimate setting. The wine and food selection was amazing including squid in pasta, local fish delicacies and fish. As a vegan I am used to most of my meals in Italy to be green salad and grilled vegetables. Yet, the owner was kind and patient- and I got an amazing pea soup instead. The service was fantastic. The owner stayed late after we were left alone - and kept offering drinks. We had a wonderful time! It is less than 15 min away from the parking garage - we got back to the hotel in no time.More

We were recommended by a local to try this hole in the wall joint and were very impressed. It is a very simple and homey restaurant, which can only around 6 small tables. The chef is from the South of Italy and he cooks very...well using the fresh seafood catch from around Venice as his main ingredients. We ordered a chickpea cream soup with scampi, sautéd mussels and clams, mixed seafood risotto and mixed seafood tagliolini. The food was amazingly delicious. There were so many layers of flavors and was further elevated to the next level by the freshness and sweetness of the seafood used. Finally, we finished with their homemade pane cotta and tiramisu, which were tasty too. This place is definitely not a tourist trap. If you are looking for a hearty home cooked Venetian meal with fresh seafood, this is the place to be.More

Omg run don’t walk! Don’t go on Main Street, off beaten path! Food was amazing. Our concierge recommended another place and I was like let me see the reviews. This place was the best choice. As a previous reviewer said cleaned my plate, more like...I wanted to lick my plate. I had the sea bream in orange sauce. My boyfriend had the steak with pepper sauce. Must try!! Very reasonable and we had a bottle of wine. Plus dessert.More

A childhood friend had been in Venice a few days before and they stumbled upon this restaurant and raved about it, so my friends and I decided to check it out....SO GLAD WE DID! It is a little off of the beaten path but actually...just a 8-10 minute walk from Rialto Bridge. I had the filet with pepper sauce and about cleared my plate! The savory gravy-like pepper sauce that was on it was absolutely delicious. The owner recommended a great bottle of wine for us (we about had 2 bottles) and then she gave us some tasty limoncello as we were about to leave. Highly recommend this quiet little spot. The courtyard is painted a bold red and has mirrors up like you're inside. Just so cute. Will definitely visit again on future trips!More
