Absolutely the best address to come in and stay for a glass of wine, aperol spriz and eat one of the delicious cichettis or the croissants with pistachio. I really enjoyed our visit there, the owner (a pair of siblings) are very personable, cheerful and very friendly. And they have a very good taste in music (José Gonzales, Feist, etc). Should i ever be back in venice i will be happy to come back.

Great little Caffè we found on the way back to the bus station. The chichetti was plentiful and delicious, the drinks were extremely reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were sat outside but some inside seating is available. It can get quite busy so get there in good time.

Found this on trip advisor and was not disappointed. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great choice of drinks, nice beer and wind at reasonable prices. We visited 2 days running over the weekend and had snacks which were E1.5 each or 8 for E10. Easy to find.

In Venice the competition is stiff for best of anything food and wine related. Adagio satisfies the palate and you have to admire the whole aesthetic. “Cute” according to my adult kid. Charming, cool without being all hipsters, and very yummy. Try the cachet to, any of the coffees, or maybe a morning spritz. Ciao

Read on TA that this is a friendly welcoming place with good Reviews and it was near our rented apartment so we went to give it a try hoping to make it our 'local' during our stays. We are regular visitors to Venice - at least once a year and this year it will be three times. Must have got them on an off day because they were neither friendly nor welcoming. We eyed up the stuff on offer, didn't fancy staying in this unfriendly, non welcoming place, thanked them and walked over to a nearby place which WAS friendly and welcoming. May give it another chance next time we're in the city in a couple of months time. Everybody deserves a second chance but there are so many tried and tested places to eat, drink and snack in Venice that we really don't tolerate surly disintested service.

The best Bar/ Café in Venice!
I love the staff.
The Aperol tastes nowhere as good as here, it’s huge and only costs 4€.
The cicchetti taste amazing, every single one they sell.
Beautiful ambience and music, every time we visited.
Also perfect to go for breakfast with their amazing croissants and coffee.
This place is a 10/10 and if you are in Venice you should definitely check it out.

I really liked visiting while staying in Venice. Me and my partner felt really welcome and were absolutely amazed by this bar. Everything was great. The staff was absolutely amazing and made us feel very welcome. The food (chinchetti and toast) were great (In my opinion the chinchetti with bread were better than the fried ones). The coffe and drinks were fabulous and even the location was great (Right next to basilica dei Frari).
If you visit I’d highly recommend the shaken coffee, the Bellini!!! And the chinchetti with prosciutto.

Hard to beat, a fantastic spot deceptive because it seems like a quiet place but it was so busy but not in an intrusive way . Not to be missed. The selection of wines is limited but what is available is a very high quality and so affordable ! The food just amazing even if it isn’t their main selling point. Then there is the service! Always the Achilies heel but in this case I couldn’t believe how thorough the staff were! Friendly and busy! We came for a quick drink left and returned to spend the evening. As an aside the taste in music was sublime. Congratulations on a great spot, we will return.

We visited Adagio a couple of times during our visit to Venice, it was our favourite place to stop off for a coffee or a glass of wine! The staff are super friendly, their prices are really good and they have a fabulous range of wines and snacks. We loved sitting outside taking in the scenery and watching the world go by. If you are passing by make sure to visit this place, amazing!

I discovered Adagio while in Venice for a month-long stay. It quickly became the place I would go to every night for an aperol spritz and cicchetti. Excellent prices and great quality food, wine, and spritzes. It was also a special place because the staff created an atmosphere that you made feel like a friend and not just a regular tourist. I definitely will return on my next visit to Venice!

Fantastic little bar with really friendly staff, good drinks at great prices. We stayed just around the corner from this bar and visited a number of times throughout our stay, including daytimes and on an evening and every time we were treated with a friendly welcome and served brilliant drinks. €3:50 for a Spritz and €1.50/€2 cicchetti means this is definitely a place to visit

Both my wife and I recognise Adagio as being one of the jewels of Venice. An unassuming little bar, located at the rear of the Frari and on the route from the San Toma vaporetto stop, to the magnificent Scuola Grande di San Rocco. You may walk past and miss it but you’ll be making a mistake. A really big mistake if they still have some of their cicchetti meatballs left. The best in Venice (in our humble opinions) as are all of the other cicchetti selections. The drinks are equally excellent in both quality and value. You may see a Spritz advertised for €3.50 or less in Venice but I’ll wager they will not be very good. A Spritz in Adagio is €4 and is better than the ones in the overpriced Piazza San Marco café’s, which roll in at FOUR times the price of an Adagio Spritz (albeit with that spectacular view). Adagio is one of our favourite places in Venice and it gets repeated visits every trip. If you’re visiting the Frari or San Rocco – you must pay a visit (if you can get in)!

We loved this place - the wine and prosecco were great quality and the cichetti was very tasty at 1.50 each. They had 1-2 vegan options, which we were thankful for. Chips (crisps?) were also served.
Ambience is lovely indoors but they also have outdoor seating available.

Finally made it here on the second attempt as it was really busy first time round. What a great place this is. Great beer, and the Cicchetti is beautiful... you can see it being prepared as you relax with your drink. Staff so friendly, stupendous value, this should be on your list when you come to Venice... thoroughly recommended.

Can only reiterate what passed reviewers have put. Absolute gem of a place, situated behind the Basilica Frari San Polo district, in a quiet corner. Small well stocked cafe/wine bar serving great tasing light bites and wonderful drinks. This has the be the best value for money place in Venice, An Americano and a Cappuccino for €2.60. Want €10 each in the SM square. They have a couple of tables inside and a couple outside not very big, but big on service. There is a clean toilet as well. If you in the neighbourhood seek it out, you won’t be disappointed.

San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
