Visited the site during our short stay for many times. The service and the food is like at home with venetian touch and atmosphere. I would recommend the osteria to everyone who seeks to find someting simple but excelent by taste. Specially ask for days speciality! You will enjoy! Take the house wine!

The price was great for a three course meal and had that hidden local atmosphere. I enjoyed the pasta very much but i did not like the fish. They did have utensil fees but like i said the overall price was great for Venice for a three course meal.

Recommended by a friend who lived in Venice. They took us in even though we were something like an hour late for our reservation due to a ridiculous rain storm. Everything was delicious and the staff was understand and really friendly. We nearly licked clean the plate of the baccalà mantecato, which we'd had at another place the night before... More

Discovered this bar by accident because of an horrendous storm with thunder and lightning and torrential rain. This was the first bar we could go in for just a drink. We ended up enjoying some drinks and tasty bar snacks that were very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit to this friendly establishment.

A great place for cichetti! An unassuming place where the owner is always ready to serve great wine (he always gives you a large serving), and where the local food is truly local. Have a drink, a few cichetti, and a taste of Venice as the locals know it! Cheap, good, convivial, an agreeable change for the regular restaurants bordering... More

This place is fantastic, so local and so authentic, please don't act like tourists if you go here and try to blend in the atmosphere of the bar. The snacks were awesome, the house wine was very affordable and very good and the people watching kept us there for hours and hours. Such a hidden gem, loved every moment of... More

Nice and warm place close to Rialto bridge: good seafood at a reasonable price and flexible to any request we had. Suggested.

Just one street over from the apartment where we stayed in Venice, this place felt very much like a neighborhood joint. The crowded and friendly front bar opens up into a good sized restaurant in the back. We were looking for a quick and somewhat casual place to grab dinner and this did the trick perfectly. My linguine vongole was... More

Found this restaurant accidentally and just as it happens with such unexpected discoveries, we absolutely loved our dinner at this place! The food was very nice and fresh, the atmosphere was cosy and homey, we almost felt like locals there! Our waiter, Leo, was amazing! He recommended us some really great dishes and wine and he couldn't have been nicer!... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
