We had boring pizzas at this restaurant by the Grand Canal. Basically the only positive thing is the location. The food was really not that good and the service is basically not there.

We visited this place for drinks two evenings in a row, the location along the main canal gives an ideal atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. I can't comment on the food as we didn't have any aside from a slice of cake we ordered for a birthday which they kindly put a candle in for us (the cake... More

We did not have proper food there - because it did not seem to be very appealing, just by the grand canal on the busy street, but we wanted just to have some drinks and enjoy the view. But additionally ended up ordering some desserts - tiramisu and panna cotta. I have to say that they were good, I loved... More

Had dinner here as it was a good location. Can't fault the food or the service but it wasn't worth 5 points. I'm sure there are worse and better in Venice. I would go back but would probably look elsewhere first.

For the location and salesmanship curbside to get you to sit down this place is terrible. Don't humor positive reviews this place views you as a euro. I'm certain a local Venetian would not be caught eating at this place. Food was bland and in noteworthy. Overpriced and service bill is 12%. Worst was the prepaid service, just bad. Don't... More

Had an evening meal here situated along the grand canal so great location. However the food wasn't fantastic and we were expecting better. You are better off exploring the back street restaurants. Certainly cheaper.

Title says it all really. Great spot and could have been so much better. Food was average at best and the staff didn't seemed bothered, spent more time sat down chatting. Go else where is my suggestion!!

The waiters are very friendly, helpful and attentive - especially compared to the staff at the restaurant next door. The food was delicious and great choice for vegetarians.

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
