I was rather sorry to see such bad reviews about this restaurant even though they are a few years old.We have just returned from a cruise where we spent a day in Venice. We had lunch here, two margherita pizzas and glasses of beer followed by good coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed them. the service was good and for the location... More

What a location for a restaurant, on the bank of the Grand Canal with the backdrop of the Rialto bridge. You have the sounds of the city on one side with the sounds of the Canal traffic on the other. The service was attentive but not overbearing, a discreet eye was kept on the customer to ensure all was well.... More

no matter if its 6.30pm, 11pm or 01.30am, you'll always find a superfriendly and fast service with a nice view.

This place is very nice but after eating far superior meals I cannot say anymore than average for our meal. It's was pleasant beside the canal and near the Rialto bridge with fairly good service. Butter took ages to arrive and certain things were just not upto standard. While it was pleasant and good value it didn't hit anything more... More

Although this is obviously a "tourist trap" location, the food was good. We shared a Branzini fish which was fresh and well done. The location overlooking the canal is romantic and the service was friendly.

This was my second visit to this restaurant, the first was at least 8 years ago. So my wife and I returned so it is designed to pick up tourists but how many restaurants in Venice are not? The location is sweet, on the grand canal and a view of the Rialto Bridge as you dine, so what is there... More

Ok, if you are here, you should know what to expect. It's a tourist restaurant in a crowded area so it is not fine dining. Your in Venice so it is going to be relatively expensive for what you get. However if you want the experience of dining canal side, with plenty of people watching and reasonable food this place... More

Our first day on our short break to Treviso and popped into Venice. Headed towards St Marks Square but not having eaten since breakfast our stomachs were rumbling. Took a right before the bridge along the canal to a host of canal side restaurants. Having walked past a couple that didn't 'grab' us, we met the Maitre'd at Ristorante Florida... More

I'm not very strict when it comes to food. If a restaurant is trying, but is just having a hard time, I'm very forgiving. This place, however, didn't even feel like they were trying. The food was bland and the presentation was sloppy. The prices were high and a 12% service fee tacked on to the bill. The location was... More

Great location and view of the Rialto bridge, but food isn't that great. Pizza was not really good, dough didn't taste fresh and too much tomato sauce and cheese on it. Pasta was OK. Less expensive than other restaurants nearby.

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
