Smiling and kind welcome, delicious antipasti (veggie polpet and pistachio gorgonzola mortadella toast) as well as main dishes (braised pork cheek and polenta, gorgonzola mushroom pasta), and desserts (tiramisu, hot lemon cake). A real treat. Rather reasonable in terms of price, given the very good quality.

Excellent attention! If you are in Venice and want to eat exquisite, homemade food, at a reasonable price and receiving warm and unbeatable attention, this is your place!
We tried the tortellis al funghi, penne salmone and pasta alla Norma, and for dessert, the tiramisu and lemon tart. Glasses of red wine and beers. All very tasty.
I recommend!

We had discovered this restaurant online and were excited to check it out, it did not disappointment. The service was prompt and we sat outside. We ordered several of the Cicchetti, they were all delicious, some served hot and others cold. They were all €2.50. We enjoyed them with an Aperol Spritz. Charming place and charming location. Highly recommend.

I've been to this place listed among the places where you can eat typical Venetian food, but, in reality, apart from the cicchetti which I haven't tasted and therefore I don't dare to give an opinion on them, the place offers a choice of first courses closer to tradition Emilian, what a Venetian!! Having tasted one of these, I can say that it was a long-cooked first course with the pasta swimming in oil. Among other things, the lady, for the exception raised, charged the full price without even offering a coffee for the inconvenience suffered... I would like to point out that it has no toilets!!

I'd read good things about this restaurant and the evening I was hunting for a spot, I happened upon it. From the moment I was seated, I knew this wasn't a place I wanted to be, but didn't want to be rude since I was a visitor to the country. There were no regular tables, only high tops and I was seated right by the door. Every time it opened, it was freezing, because it had been quite rainy and was windy that evening, too. Some stale bread was given me after I requested it. I have a habit of sitting with my left leg crossed on top of my right, due to a hip issue. The bartender scolded me from the bar to get my foot off the chair. I had not realized it was even on it. Of course I apologized, but by now I feel like a schumck. I ordered a glass of 'the driest red wine' they had and was brought the house wine, which was pretty awful. I spotted a bottle of Rosso di Montalcino on the bar and requested a glass of that. I'm including a picture of it, because it was the only fabulous thing about this place - at least from my perspective. I ordered the tortelloni and it was just o.k. Nothing special at all. Not bad, but I'd eaten many a phenomenal meal in Cannereggio and I'm sorry to say that this one was not one of them. Maybe everyone was in a bad mood there, but I just got a creepy vibe, ate and got out of there.

Hands down the best meal we had in Venice! Everything so fresh and delicious. We had five different cicheti, each one better than the last. We asked the hostess for her favorites and she gave us a Mortadella with gorgonzola and pistachio and Lardo with ricotta, both some of the best things I have ever eaten! We also had pasta with ham and pistachio that was excellent. The house wine was lovely and a perfect paring.
The staff were super friendly and helpful in choosing the cicheti plates and the service second to none! We ate like kings for 28 euros. And ,again all the food fresh and amazing!
We tried to go back before we left Venice but by 7pm it was packed and couldn't get in. You might want to see if they take reservations but it's so small and popular they probably don't. But they are open for lunch that might be easier.
It's a little out of the way and off the beaten path but well worth the journey!

Only first courses and cicchetti. I don't know what the latter are like but the former have nothing to do with Venetian cuisine and I have rarely come across such a terrible dish, pre-cooked pasta with I know how much before, soaked in oil, a single pseudo prawn that fell apart just by looking at it so anything but fresh. We had a delightful lunch at Cantina Aziende Agricole. The service, food, and wine were all excellent. With the help of the kind lady behind the bar, we tried a selection of chichetti, and really enjoyed all of them. She also chose my wine (at my request), and it went very well with the food. We are hardly experts, having spent only 5 days in Venice, but this place had the feel of authentic Venice, and the chichetti were the best we had during our visit. We will be sure to return if we ever make it back to Venice.

Only a few tables, but rapid service makes the most of them. I ate there twice during my recent trip and the quality and staff helpfulness couldn’t have been better. The pasta with pork cheek and bigoli (thick spaghetti) with duck ragout were both outstanding and at prices unknown in Venice. A range of affordable wines by the glass to complement the food and a variety of aperitifs made this my go-to place in Canneregio.

I went for a small lunch of cicchetti.
Really nice, in a quiet and peaceful area.
The cicchetti were very good, in particular the creamed or fried cod and the cicchetti with tuna and capers.
I recommend it for a quick and tasty stop.

Very nice laid-back restaurant in Cannaregio, they offer cicchetti and also proper meals. Only a few tables inside but most people seem to stay just for a quick snack. 3 cicchetti for a starter, portion of pasta, bottle of water and 2 glasses of Amarone was 28 €, which I consider cheap in Venice.

We went for dinner, at that time they barely had a variety of cicchetti, but we ordered a pumpkin rissotto that was SPECTACULAR. We also ordered a lasagna which was very good. It has a shelf of wines to buy, or to drink there for a supplement, so highly recommended if you want to have a little wine in Venice. The blonde woman was very friendly, the other girl not so much, but overall a good experience. It does not have a toilet.

We were seeking an out of the way place that wasn't touristy. We came across Cantina Aziende Agricole up a side street. I had heard about cicchetti but had never tried it. They had numerous small dishes that were around €2 each. They were all tasty. There were a few tables inside and more tables outside.

Absolutely exceptional place. A small, cozy wine bar with a huge selection of wine served by knowledgeable and very friendly staff with a great selection of cicheti.
I don’t know how they do it, but we only 90 Euros for 4 of us with 2 glasses of wine each, cicheti and primi piattis.
With going out of your way to experience the hospitality.

This was our 3rd stop of the evening for drinks & cicchetti. They had a large selection of delicious cicchetti and a nice variety of wines to choose from. Both gentlemen working that evening were very nice, friendly & accommodating. We enjoyed our visit very much.

Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
