Great place. Great food, great service, great prices and less tourists. What more could you ask for ? Have the sardines starter, the Venetian pasta and the lemon sorbet for desert - fantastic :)

The waiter doesn't will give you a warm welcome. But, he will recommend you the right dish. I ask for risotto, he said risotto is for two, instead I recommend you Laguna tagliatelle. It has been incredible, all shellfish was there, and likely it was...More

Recommended by half-locals as a Restaurant not frequented too much by tourists - this was true. But, in fact, after leaving we wondered, why locals would bother to come out here to eat. The place was nicely decorated, greetings acceptably friendly. When ordering the first...More

I think you are well served if you are local here. But as a visitor you pay for mediocre food, poor service and ok prices. Wouldn't recommend, and far better in the vicinity with friendlier staff, better food

First let me state, that we arrived at the restaurant after a tour of Venice at 2:00pm. We were unaware, at the time, that most places shut down between 2:30 - 5:00pm. Having said that - we entered the packed restaurant and I asked the...More

Sitting next to a quiet canal in Cannareggio eating the freshest fish possible, prepared simply and perfectly is a great way to experience the best of Venice. Fresh turbot accompanied by huge prawns and tiny octopi with a good green salad makes an excellent meal.

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
