Came in with family & friends, highly recommended by local people. Food was nice (most ate seafood & fish) pricing is very reasonable. Service was great.

I don't quite understand the reviews here saying how this is one of Venice's best restaurants, amazing food etc etc. Plating is boringly ugly with good slopped on aa in a prison cafeteria. The gnocchi was terrible. Oily. Crab hiding somewhere and no real flavor....More

Our Airbnb Host listed this restaurant, along with several others and we chose to have our first delicious Italian meal here. Best choice was to ask the Waiter what they recommended and sure enough the house wine was fabulous, along with the seafood dish we...More

This cute little spot was recommended to us by our Airbnb host (yes, we too thought this was a trap) but when everything was too busy, we decided to give this place a try. There wasn't any seating out by the canal so we were...More

My wife and I went to Osteria ai 40 Ladroni on the advice from our Air BnB host and we were not disappointed, especially myself as I love sea food and this is a sea food biased restaurant. The staff were very friendly and accommodated...More

This restaurant came recommended by a local. We sought it out, but were not impressed. My wife had the highly recommended cuddle fish and did not like it at all. Other dishes were okay. A bit on the pricey side.

Rude waiter slamming the food on the table and absolutely horrific food. Ordered simple spaghetti aglio & oglio (spaghetti with garlic and oil). No garlic to be found. It was topped with chili powder. Usually this dish is loaded with fresh garlic and chili pieces....More

Nice location, but that is about it. Server was not very friendly, we did not feel welcome. We ordered pasta which was rather disappointing (i.e. Spaghetti a aglio et olio but without garlic and with chilli powder?!) wine was also quite disappointing. Must be the...More

We had been recommended this authentic Venetian seafood and pasta restaurant by our hotel receptionist. It was 8.00 p.m. on a Sunday evening and the place was busy. It was clearly a well established eatery for the local population. Seated in the garden area to...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
