Found this spot after affixing in the city and were waiting for the fireworks. Service was amazing although a little slow to extend the awning when the rain started. Food was presented in a pleasant fashion and tasted as good as it looks. All the...More

Our experience here was lovely — good service, friendly waiters, a good carbonara, and a GREAT lasagna! They also have a terrace that overlooks the Grand Canal.

If you are a solo traveler in Venice just be aware that at Trattoria Povoledo on the Grand Canal you will not be allowed to sit at a table right next to the edge of the water - I was delegated to the position of...More

Lady, as I explained on Sunday night, the 9 tables near the Canal Grande, for us are very precious. We pay € 1000,00 a square meter for all the tables on the water for the whole year, that means that we use them 7/8 months....More

We had a ham and mushroom pizza by the canal. Lovely canal side setting. Service was ok but as previously mentioned they add a 10% cover charge to the bill. The wine tasted fine after a few sips but was a strange apricot colour. It...More

A bit of a con, they have a sign in 6 inch letters in the window next to the entrance stating No Service Charge. Yet when yo get the bill they include a Cover Charge (not shown on the Menu), that equated to 10% of...More

Such a lovely place with good food & friendly staff, so good we went back next day. Staff did not rush you to order eat or to leave. Sat outside overlooking the grand canal on both occasions. May not look much on the outside but...More

Went with another couple and just had a fantastic time and an even better meal. The patio is amazing and the staff are quite pleasant. Check it out!!

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

Yes, they take reservations. Depending upon the time of the evening, you may or may not need them. I suggest asking your hotel to call and make reservations for you. It works better that way
