The menu is overpriced, the food is lacklustre, the service is abysmal and the waiting time is around thirty minutes, even for some naan. Stay away.

The food was great, and the staff did a great job to make us feel welcome. We ate chicken and basmati rice, followed by two deserts. One of them was a homemade mango icecream and it was so good.

Nothing much to tell. If you haven't tasted Indian food for very long time then you gonna admire this place. But if you look for some budget hotels then head to Brother fast food which one is very near to Venice Mestre station where tandoori chicken cost only 5€ when compared to 27€ in Ganesh ji. And one more thing... More

Was craving spicy so decided to go for Indian . Food was not spicy but really enjoyed the daal . A bit difficult finding the restaurant. Service was good. They have a regular menu from what you can order and at the back of the menu a set lunch menu that comes with starters mains and dessert.

We had been to this restaurant twice and one word can explain this review 'Delecious'. This restaurant is owned by an Italian fellow, but to our surprise the taste was like India. They have beautiful outdoor seating next to Canal. You can't expect more than in Venice.

Seeing the menu, we were all excited and were looking forward to treating ourselves - only thing we... More

Just ate at Ganesh ji tonight. A friend visited here last week and recommended we try it. After eating quite a bit of pasta, pizza and fish we were craving some spicy food and were not disappointed! Service was very efficient and friendly. We didn't have to wait very long for our food. Orders the tandoori mix grill for starters... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
