Great place if you want to try out some authentic venetian food. This is actually the oldest trattoria in Venice! We tried Nero di Seppia and Baccala on the reccomendation of our local host. Must try for sea food lovers

We were recommended this restaurant by some friends and after a long search finally found it - it is tucked out of the way but well worth the effort. We were made to feel welcome instantly and enjoyed without a doubt the finest food we had in our week long stay in Venice. A complementary "welcome" glass of prosecco set... More

My daughter saw this restaurant on Pinterest two years ago, we were happy to take she and her brother there.. This was our final dinner in Venice and it did not disappoint! The meal began with complimentary glasses of prosecco, followed by good bread and breadsticks. We did not order multiple courses but at no time did the servers treat... More

A nice little trattoria with excellent local dishes, especially fish- they're right next door to the fish market. Try the lobster gnocchi for a starter, and for mains the house special bream was wonderful. I tried the cuttlefish with polenta. I was a little nervous as it was the first time for the black speciality- it was really delicious. The... More

Highly regarded for its selection of seafood dishes, attentive and cordial waiters, quiet and attractive setting reached by crossing a small private wooden bridge next to the Rialto fish market.

The old restaurant was a little pricey, but the food and service were fabulous! If you have to eat out anywhere in Venice, I highly recommend this place. We walked there from our hotel....quite a hike, but walking back the evening views of the canal were breathtaking.

The staff there are extremely professional. Prices are reasonable compared with others restaurants around. You should have a try when you there.

The restaurant has very nice environment. The service is excellent. We asked the staff for suggestion as we want typical Venetian food. He suggested some dishes which were all delicious! The price may not cheap but definitely reasonable. Worth to try if u visit Venice!

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
