Having now been in Italy for three weeks (we visited this restaurant on our 8th day in the country) we can honestly say that this is the best dining experience of our trip. From speaking to the staff outside as they were setting up and...More

Unfortunately for us, our iPhone gps kept getting turned around, and we spent over an hour looking for this "hidden" restaurant. Fighting crowds in Venice in July is not fun anyway, but having a reservation and not knowing if we could make it was a...More

Originally a good restaurant, now transformed in a production line of food. You entry in the restaurant and the waitresses are interested in fast results. You ask a beer and you couldn't see what kind of beer you are drinking. The food is similar as...More

After calling Italy from the U.K. to book a table some three weeks in advance, I was told by the owner that he only had a table at 21:30. I thought that's a good sign - they are clearly busy and in demand. I quickly...More

Fantastic meal, very cozy setting in a small restaurant on a quiet street. One of my favorite meals in Italy. Must make reservations here. We had a bottle of the Venetian rose (La Fraghe), spaghetti with onion & anchovy (This was incredible!), soft shell crab...More

Nothing fancy. Just simple Italian fare, but made very well. One of the best meals we had in Venice.

The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the
Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six

Agree with comments below - well worth the splurge. Our cost was €110, two glasses of wine. Important to book ahead.

We found It quite easily just using a street guide out of a guide book. Just take your time. You need to book though. Hope you enjoy.

We actually visited the restaurant in October although I reviewed it in November. We got our hotel to book - but it is possible that it's closed in January.
