I cannot but have utmost respect for the commitment, passion and love working miracles in this restaurant. By chance and thus without reservation we stopped to dine at lunchtime and were made feel at home from the very start. The atmosphere of the room was...sunny, bright and filled with wonderful people, the service attentive and warm, the food absolute heaven, delicious and beautifully refined. We felt truly happy and blessed to have experienced mere gastronomical bliss. At home then I went to tripadvisor and read about the restaurant. They truly deserve every positive review, and there a many. But really striking is the passion, wit and fearlessness of the proprietario in dealing with undiscerning reviews on his restaurant. I had the most pleasant time in reading his responses to all sorts of - often rather arbitrary - criticism. I believe his brilliant comments ought to be published in a book as a healing remedy to all passionate and professional people having to defend their standards against the ignorance of their clients. How GP Cremonini is holding his values high is a true inspiration - besides the wonderful experience of attending the restaurant.More

Coming to Riviera for the last 10 years or so - the restaurant still surprises me, getting better and better each time. In spite of Covid, always full, with tables by the water mid-October, in 25°C lovely Venetian fall. “Small menu” is some 12-15 tasting...dishes, absolutely outstanding, very much focused on (mainly raw) fish but also few delicious meat dishes - quail was so good that we were close to order another one while lamb was delicate and cooked to perfection. Wine list is very much focused on the region, with bottles of great regional winemakers such as Miani or Gravner. Must do while in Venice !More

Beautiful night we will always remember with a 8 courses (which are actually 11-13) of creatively arranged delicious bits. Service was perfect: subtle, charming and attentive.

A beautiful romantic place by the side of the lagoon. The food was delicious and unusual with local ingredients cooked superbly. We had the small market tasting menu - 8 courses. We weren’t counting but the courses seemed to go on forever. Not a place...for a quick meal - the food came slowly and we enjoyed and savoured every course. Great service and an altogether special evening.More

I’ve just been to my favourite place in the world! Since last December they suffered exceptional flooding followed by the lockdown. You would think to find them on the kneecaps. Hell no! Quite the opposite in fact. They came back stronger than ever. Maturity and...love transpire between each course. There's such undeniable competency in the kitchen here at The Riviera, and such ideal scenery! Every time I feel like I just found a little gem. But in reality I expect the consecration of the holy grail at any moment now. Why that? Because there is no chance you find anything better in Venice. They set the bar high at The Riviera. Very high....More
