Basic toasts. Good toppings but would be much better if they toasted the bread. Long line, no seating, poor service. Overrated.

This is a meat restaurant in an area where fish predominates, so made a pleasant change. They don't even do salad, and they only serve house wines. The food is quite Greek in style. We loved it, and it was far and away the cheapest...More

This restaurant was recommended by a local friend. Looking at the pictures and reviews on google and TripAdvisor we were pretty sure that this was the right place to enjoy a steak for dinner. The location was also great, although the service in the beginning...More

This place does excellent steaks cooked just as ordered. Good size beef fillet €25, comes with the fries and veg (lots of places in Venice the sides are extra). Tuesday night and its busy, a mix of locals and tourists. We arrived at about 7.30...More

We were recommended to visit this area for food and wine by a local. This restaurant was by far the busiest with lots of locals eating and drinking on the street - for us that's a pretty good sign! The wines were delicious and the...More

The location is nice. An easygoing place where you can also sit outside. The problem is that the meat is not so good even if well presented, the waiter is kind but the bill is really too high for what they give you ( in...More

Fun, busy place to come either to sit on the dock with an appetizer and a drink or have an awesome meal. Some reviews say the service is slow - I would just say they are very busy and not in a huge rush like...More

Very busy, ignored by staff, beyond rude when they do come. Gnocchis were average at best, the steak looked amazing, but was completely inedible for the gross amount of salt. When asked to recook w less salt was told to pay for the drinks, gnocchi...More

My friends and I had a great experience in Al Timon. The meat was exclusive and the waiter very kind. The atmosphere felt authentic. We loved the fact that it is well off the beaten path, the neighborhood in general is worth visiting if you...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

We arrived right when they opened the restaurant. For one hour, they only serve the bread and meats. As soon as we got there, they made us a reservation for dinner. We did not have any previous contact info for them!
