We arrived for lunch and ordered pasta and the fish of the day, snapper. The pasta was quite good, however the fish was terrible. They claimed it was fresh from that day, it had an awful odor. We took one bite and sent the fish...More

I was traveling by myself and the staff was so welcoming. The staff explained the menu and I ended up with the special of roasted suckling pig. The food was delicious.

We were sent here by a close friend who visits several times a year and says this is his favorite restaurant. We saved it for the last night of our wonderful trip to Venice. We love Venice and come here as often as we can....More

Dinner last night after a couple of canalside Campari Spritz at a local favourite, Anice Stellato (Star Anise). What a lovely dinner! The sommelier recommended a bottle of Barbarano from the Vicenza region of Veneto, the grape being Bacaro, in close affinity with Garnacha. Delish....More

The food was good, so I didn't give the restaurant one point, but two. It took them over 20 minutes to take our order, and over 40 more minutes to get us our drinks (We needed to call a waiter ourselves twice just to order...More

One of the best meals on our recent trip to Italy. My wife and I had a saffron, pecorino, and black pepper risotto which was out-of-this-world good. Also, the fritturra di pesce was excellent, the best I've ever had. Definitely book a table at Anice...More

the food quality was very good and their al dente pasta was simply excellent - the best we ate in Venice. We went for lunch and dinner on separate days. A limited menu but no worse for it. Outside tables beside the canal need pre-booking....More

What a special place. So glad we got to eat there. The food was outstanding and the best scallops I ever had. They are in no rush so take your time and enjoy, it’s so worth it. Had a fab evening there. Thank you.

What a great dinner experience. The food was innovative and fresh and absolutely delicious. Our family of 4 (kids 18 and 15) ate here our last night in Venice. I was a little hesitant that the kids would not find something they would like on...More

The food was amazing, I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order. Both classic and modern Italian dishes. Reasonably priced. Good service. Overall excellent

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

Absolutely email them. They will respond with their most up to date menu and answer any questions you have. They do tend to do daily specials based on food/fish available that day which also changes their menu. But I know... More
