Great evening

From the moment we walked in - we knew we were in for a bizarre & fun evening - with the owner acting as clown, host, waiter & chef (although his wife does most of the cooking). There is no menu - they just start bringing out different appetizers until you say STOP, then the pasta arrived, then a... read more

We arrived and were the first ones here. It's a husband and wife that run the place and they speak very little English but enough that we didn't have too many issues. You pick meat or seafood and then they bring you 7 different courses. Be aware that they ask you what kind of wine you want and they bring... More

We had great time in this restaurant !Not only the food was great presented and in a way innovative approached but the chef was acting while interacting with the guests. Have a night there if you like to experience some great food served in arty way.

Maybe I am just a bit jaded. Maybe the food is great and the Owner/Chefs are fun to be with. Maybe I keep coming back for more...... Yes, I still go back to this restaurant when I have a chance. It is pricey and there is no written menu. You choose a meat or fish direction for the meal. And... More

Over the years, some of the best meals I've eaten in Italy have been in restaurants with no menu, and only local wine. So, you can see why, on reading about Tio Pepe in Padua, I was keen to visit. The deal is, you opt for either a fish/seafood based offer, or the meat option. When I asked for the... More

Fantastic all around. A little pricey (paid around 110 euro for a meal for two with wine and dessert, including a lobster dish) but well worth the money.

That restaurant can impress you, because it is small and nice... the attention of owner is really good... food id better you can think in that small village.

There is no written menu. You choose a meat or fish direction for the meal. And then the courses begin. A complimentary fennel on cracker to begin. The meat menu started with salami, pancetta, prociutto, salami, artichoke, bacon fat strip, and pickled celery. This was followed by a warm cheese (burrata?) on cracker as well as parmesan. Finally, gnocchi with... More

We spent a night in Padova this month and were wondering where we can have dinner. We went to Tio Pepe ristorante and it was espectacular. Service was great and the food was amazing. It was the best food we've tried in Italy so far.

Right in the center of the city, on a beautiful little side street that would make you feel you were back in the Renaissance is Tio Pepe. Small and quaint with a staff who is truly trying to give you a memorable dinner. The menu is limited (meat or fish), but once you choose the courses just keep on coming... More
