We had a wonderful gourmet dinner celebrating the birthdays of our adult son and friend. The snow mobile ride up the mountain was exciting. The food and staff were exceptional. When the taxi service could not be reached to arrange for a pick up at the Valle Veny parking lot after the snow mobile ride back down the mountain, the staff arranged to get us back to our hotel in their van. The night was fun and delicious!

I go almost every summer to have lunch at Grolla, in Val Veny. The restaurant enjoys a wonderful position, right in front of the Mont Blanc chain which you feel you can touch. On nice days, I recommend booking on the terrace. The service is friendly and efficient and the food very tasty and well prepared. I recommend the appetizers of cured meats and cheeses from the Aosta Valley to share and the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. Really good desserts. After lunch it is possible to take advantage of the terraces on the lawn in front of the restaurant, where a nap, full and happy, is almost a must. In August it is better to book. I found this nice adventure thanks to my ski instructor who told me about it and we stopped by to make reservation with the owner Efrem and chose the menu for dinner. Meeting at 7:30 pm the parking of Val Very gondola (just past the Esso station), 15/20 ride on a snow cat with other dinner guests. We started the dinner with rice and "blu di capra" cheese and the main course was thinly sliced meet to be cooked by ourselves at the table in a nice soup japanese shabu-shabu style. After dinner we got a ride back by snow mobiles with pilot and 3 passengers. It was a fun and unique evening.

We had lunch on Christmas Day, as we usually do when in Courmayeur and it was excellent as always. There are a number of very good restaurants in the resort but none with the combination of location, views, quality food and very good service. La Grolla for us is the best.
Thank you once again and and we'll be back at Christmas 2020.

We were dazzled by this place for the objectively very beautiful view. Unfortunately, the experience was not the best: rude staff, dishes on the menu not available, bad food and service. Too bad, such a nice place should have much better service.

We were recommended to visit La Grolla by the staff at Hotel Croux. We were not disappointed. They pick you up by Skidoo at the bottom of the Skyway lift car park and whisk you up the mountain, it was a fantastic experience.
The food and service when we got there was all excellent topped off by one of the staff offering to give us a lift back to Courmayeur to save us getting a taxi.

This is a charming mountain restaurant that we return to every time in Courmayeur. There is a really friendly feel and the food is always of a wonderfully high standard . The ravioli with butter and sage is an essential order! One of if not the best restaurant in Courmayeur .

Fabulous position overlooking the Val Veny at Peindent on the run down to Zerotta. A venue that has looked-up greatly in recent years. Terrific montagnola menu; robust and filling. great staff and kitchen team. Not the cheapest but one of the best on the Courmayeur circuit.
