Very special, delicious lunch. Their entire menu is mouthwatering and the biggest problem is to decide on what you want to order. The food was incredible and the meals are very well thought - it would not surprise me if this gets a proper Michelin...star one day.More

The lifts we mostly closed due to a blizzard so it was the Via Roma followed by lunch at the Cadran Solaire. The traditional rustic surroundings and a nice table ensured the appropriate ambience. We had a lovely lunch with excellent Aosta Valley wine. The...welcome was very good as was the service during the meal, until the end. We were unable to get anyone to take an order for coffee so we gave up and tried to pay the bill. They were not interested in that either! Frankly we could have left but being an honest English couple we made a determined effort persuade a member of staff to go to the till and take our money. Would not go back.More

We had a very tasty, nice family dinner here. I've really enjoyed my polenta and lamb chops! We preferred to sit in a table at the bar area which was much quiter but service never lacked. They offer a large table of home made desserts...which we tasted all and all was perfect!More

Ate here two nights in a row it was so good. Rustic and cosy surroundings with top notch service and even better food. This place has managed to elevate a fairly ‘rustic’ local cuisine to new delicate and sophisticated heights. Great wine list. Just a...shame about all the drunken and loutish, ‘off season’ hooray henrys that managed to stagger out of their overpriced hotels into this otherwise up market establishment. We were pleased to have the necessary skills to pretend we were Italian!More

We went in January 2020 on a Monday and it was full. So i highly recommend to call and reserve before going. The restaurant is beautiful, with a rocky ceiling and lovely decorum. The staff was kind, amusing but also very professional and high class...! Delicious typical food but kicked up a notch! Definetly recommend if you are in Courmayeur!More

I can certainly see how people could be upset with service as it is large and when we left dinner it was packed. That said I was very pleased with the food and had no service issues as I was seated around 19:30. Ordered a...salad and the carbonada. The polenta was cooked appropriately and the beef was delicious and melted in your mouth like a great brisket. Lamb was good too. Also, there is a dessert bar.More

We visited Cadran Solaire for Christmas dinner as a party of 9 (2 families). The staff were great, and played along with our high spirited Christmas fun. The food was also really good - everything we ordered was tasty, local and seasonal. There’s a long...wine list and a huge dessert table to choose from, and everything was up to scratch. Bit more formal than some other places, if that’s what you are looking for.More

Excellent wine list, fantastic service and the food was delicious. While they had some limited gluten free options the only had gluten free pasta and not bread unlike some other local restaurants. But all in all the service was very good. The pastas were excellent....Good value on the wine list.More

It's been already the third year we have at least one meal here while staying in Courmayeur and this restaurant has never been a disappointment. This year I would even say it has improved. Lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Try the faraona in the meat...dishes, perfectly cooked and very tasty.More
