We came to the Rifugio Guide del Cervino with a group of 10 and first went for one meter of Parma ham. We had a couple of magnum bottles of Barolo which was excellent value. Try the polenta dishes in various styles - they are all delicious! it is just a fantastic place for a simple but very good meal.... More

Unbelievably good restaurant serving authentic north Italian dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. Try the polenta (with mushrooms or just Cheese). The tagliata is just to die for. Very friendly service. Fantastic wine list with the best Italian wines at affordable prices. Stunning terrasse, particularly when sporting has come. Beware of the altitude though as some guests might feel uncomfortable at... More

The view from this location is amazing. You can view down into Italy - Cervinia, and also down the glacier towards Zermatt. You really feel the height - and on a sunny day it's very picturesque.

I discovered this place several years ago and now make a pilgrimage every time I'm snowboarding in Zermatt. There are only a few tables so it's essential to make a reservation. I would suggest going before 2pm, as they run out of the daily specials which are always amazing...though the regular menu is excellent. This is a nice alternative to... More

It was our first time at the Restaurant and were lucky to find a table without reservation on the terrace. The food was excellent: some of the best home-made tagliatelle with porcini we have ever tasted, polenta and, even though we were completely full, we shared a dessert made with warm chestnuts, honey and cream, which was absolutely delicious. Very... More

We could not get in the restaurant on the first floor which came highly recommended! Make reservations. Had to eat at the take out place upstairs. The pasta looked delicious but by the time we got to order the kitchen was temporarily closed and we had to get the pressed sandwiches instead. They were good but the pasta looked great!

This place has great reviews and from our last visit good food. Won't be going again after making 2 bookings on 2 consecutive days and not getting a table on either. A shrug of the shoulders and a wave away was all we received from Eric. I'm sure as its so busy he couldn't care less and certainly didn't seem... More

This is a truly great place for lunch when skiing in Zermatt/Breuil-Cervinia. Great, hectic atmosphere - extremely kind and helpful staff, and the food is absolutely delicious. Amazing winelist too, great wines from Gaja at 3480 m - you can't go wrong. Book in advance - it's a small place. It's been 15 years since last I had lunch here,... More

We didn't plan for it in the begining But just after skiing, we had this advice from our trainer to try Polenta in this place Frankly speaking it was very nice for: 1- Excellent service and hospitality 2- Prices are just normal prices, not luxurious as expected 3- Food quality was a surprise, try the polenta, Tiramisu, Lasagna,.... WOW The... More

I had a "traditional" meal here of polenta valdaostana, with sausages in a beany sauce. The food was par for the course, the place is small and for hearty eaters, nothing else expected. It was good though and it's very atmospheric and friendly, you could also sit outside. I was there to visit the museum and hadn't done anything very... More
