We were recommended this restaurant as a great option for Trento so we decided to go for dinner on a Saturday night. Unfortunately, its service and food did not meet our expectations. First of all, when the server brought the bread and butter, he did not provided us with a knife or any cutlery. Secondly, we waited long periods of... More

We really enjoyed the atmosphere, menu, wine list and service. The chef is the wife and the front of the house is tended by the husband. They made us feel like we were really welcome. The menu consists of creative spins on traditional ingredients.

Ai Tre Garofani is well placed in the centre of Trento, not far from the Duomo. It is a smallish restaurant and I would recommend booking a table. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The service is attentive, but controlled. There are menus in Italian, German and English, which change with seasonal specialities. The main point about the restaurant, which... More

We went for holidays last july and found by chance this nice restaurant. Cooking is first quality. They control several moderne culinary tecnicques and also have and impressive selection of wines & spirits. Its a really good option ask them to choose an apropiatte wine for your meal. You won't fail. After 2 weeks in Italy this was absoultely our... More

My partner and I had dinner here and were delighted by the warm welcome and the variety of the menu, mostly based on regional specialties reworked along the lines of international cuisine. Excellent desserts to top it all up, and an extensive wine list to satisfy event the most demanding connoisseur.

Very good quality and interesting alpine food that merges Italian and Austrian cooking. Lots of typical dishes from the region. Friendly and welcoming staff. Worth a visit.

I may be wrong, but my feeling is that the chef here is somebody who has a lot of very nice ideas, but has not been trained long enough in a high level professional kitchen, so that the execution falters a bit. A veloute' must not be grainy; something 'en croute' (in crosta) must not become soggy; cooked fish must... More

Went there following one of my colleague's advice. Ambiance is nice, calm and staff is welcoming. I really enjoyed the decoration of the restaurant. This is a nice place for a date. Concerning the food, I'm disappointed. To be honest, the meat I chosed (Deer) was very well cooked and proposed with a nice and tasty sauce. Same for my... More

7 of us including 1 child ate ai Tre Garofani and we were all very impressed by the attentive service, delicious food, great local wine and warm atmosphere. Whilst not expensive by Italian standards, it is not as inexpensive as a pizzeria but worth every euro. Would definitely go back and recommend it to others. Book as they seem to... More
