I had one of the best spaghetti pomodoro basilico in my life. Just super. The staff was attentive without rushing you. The setting was great and the price was not too high. It's open all day.

Must go for everybody with gluten-free diet! GF pizza was great. They even bring you GF bread, everything is clearly marked GF and GF kitchen is separated so the food cannot be cross-contaminated. English (and many other languages) speaking waiters. The location on the square is convenient.

This is restaurant/bar with a large number of outside tables and it is the perfect location for a drink or meal with the view of the pedestrian square. The food is the typical Italian and mostly focused on pastas and pizza, although antipasti, salads and other mains are offered. The food we had was reasonable but you can get better... More

We dined here twice on our 3 day holiday to Bolzano and loved it. Both mine and my husband's meals were delicious and wish we could have sampled the entire menu. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant even when our toddler was playing up!

On Sunday we found many of our restaurant choices to be closed. We discovered Walthers' in the main piazza with extensive seating under awnings in the piazza. The food was good, well prepared and the selections available were more than adequate. Staff is friendly and helpful. We were both sated and felt saved from our desperation to find a decent... More

Probably picked the most touristy place to have lunch being right on the main square where the duomo and the statue of the guy for whom this place was named (possibly), but hey. Anyway, it seems you have to ask for the menu but we'd decided already. For a light lunch, again the tagliere test was in order. Beer was... More

I had a local beer at Walthers' the first day I stayed in Bolzano - the service was haphazard, the beer very tasty, and as with so many place in Europe - a nibble. In this case it was merely potato chips (crisps), but I really like that tradition and I wish we'd do more of it in the US.... More

Good coffee in stylish cups. Beware it's a long way to the loos here but they are probably wanting to deter folk from just walking in.

Normally on a golf tour we like trying different places but Walthers' was all we needed. The wine recommendations from the waiters were very good, the food just what we needed and the location excellent.

This is an excellent spot for an aperitif and people watching, also a great place for pizza. I've been here a few times over the years, each time sharing appetizers and pizza so I can't speak for any of the other entrees. Service has always been friendly, and yes sometimes it takes a few minutes to get a drink and/or... More
