This is a place like no other. A 'piola' just came out of a time-machine. If you like to have a taste of how Torino was some times ago, this is the perfect place. You cannot visit Torino without trying an aperitivo here. It is very cheap.

Walking around the city centre we came across this characteristic place, called "Piola" in Piemontese dialect. You can taste several typical dishes, wines. There is no table service, friendly atmosphere, good price.

Great selection of wines and snacks. Casual and rustic. Historic bar with lots of charm. We sat outside in garden and loved the rainbow tables!

Found this great little bar one lunch time during five days of exploring Turin. Seemed to be well run by a father and son team who had a busy lunch with many locals popping in for drinks and snacks. Although our Italian was non existent we managed to order a good spread to keep us going before dinner all washed... More

Don't come here for a gourmet experience, come for the ultimate authentic vibe...hardly a word of English spoken, old Campari and Cinzano posters adorn the walls, faded rusty mirrors, and a room full of locals. Have a coffee or a glass of wine and some salumi and soak it all in...this is as original as it gets!

We had lunch here twice on our recent trip to Turin. We had panini the first time and on the second visit we shared a variety of small plates like vitello tonnato, salumi & cheese, meatballs and giardiniera. Everything was great. We sat outside in the little garden area. It seemed like we were the only tourists there and a... More

Great little off beat local wine bar. Only has about a dozen seats but it has a great wine list with modest prices. Bar menu is pretty good for snacks, it's not really an option for dinner. Friendly despite being tourists. Mostly locals.

This little restaurant is a hidden treasure in Torino. We were so impressed we returned for more. The panini especially the anchovy with a hint of chilli was delightful. The vitello tonno scrumptious the gardeneria like no other and the cariofini e tonno omg there are no words to explain how good. This little restaurant will be forever burned in... More
