The enormous range of European wines particularly from Italy is amazing. Ask for assistance if you are unsure of what to try.

We were there yesterday for lunch - just found this place quite randomly while walking in Torino. It turned out to be great. My son had Carbonara Tagliatelle and I had the vegetarian platter with grilled aubergines and melt-in-mouth mozzarella and plump tomatoes. Both dishes outstanding.

A completely new idea of "restaurants and market" of food. You can buy food and drinks of incredible quality, mainly from small producers. You can also eat and the food is prepared just in front of you while you're waiting. An experience not to be missed on a visit to Turin

We stayed in the Lingotto for a few days and were lucky enough to have "Eataly" opposite. It is the most fantastic place - a very upmarket foodhall - very reasonably priced, together with fantastic food stations selling all sorts of delights from fish, to salami and cheese, pizza, gelati etc. You just stop off at one of the stations,... It was not easy to find but once you do you can spend a lot of money buying great produce and eat in their restaurant cheaply.

Loved it. Like a classy food court. Plenty of choices, and the deli side of the food was tempting to buy. Sad to say we were travelling home, and so couldn't.

Eataly is a very nice market that also serves food. The pizza is good, and it's a good place to buy local chocolates. I found it difficult to catch the restaurant hours (everything is later than I'm used to), and each time I was there, it got very busy soon after opening. The servers spoke very little English.

Huge deli with several eating areas, fish, cheese, pasta, meats etc. the food was great and reasonable price (pasta and glass of wine €12.) Will definitely go back when I am in Turin next, maybe try their small place in the centre too.

Thank Jerry H
