When we arrived in mid-afternoon in the tiny, beautiful medieval village of Orta, we were starving! We took a short walk down to the lakeside and chose "Al Due Santi"- The Two Saints, of which there were two saints that are responsible for the area's churches and beginning history in the early 900's. We were greeted by a smiling lady... More

We ate here two evenings running. Substantial portions, particularly of wild boar casserole. Very tasty asparagus risotto and seafood pasta.

We had three very good meals here. One with 8 adults & food lovers ..all enjoyed the food. The service is friendly but not quick ( are you really in a hurry..relax & enjoy) . Mosf often restaurants on the town square are pretty dodgy. Due Santi is not. The trout is fantastic, Osso Buco fell off the bone ,... More

Although it was a quiet day with few other guests, the food was lovely, the fish was fresh. It may not have been our lowest cost lunch, although on the plus side the toilet (upstairs) was modern and well decorated.

Were seated outside, food was of good quality. When we almost finished eating it started raining. We were not invited indoors like other patrons and had to wait extra long to pay our bill.

Very friendly and efficient service right on the square looking across to the lake and Isola San Giulio. Very tasty affetato misto and followed by very nice tagliata with rucola and grana, and a most delicious soy caramelised tuna steak. Portions are an honest size and price is correct for what is a touristy location. Service by the young gentleman... More

Situated in the main square overlooking the lake of Orto san Guilio we discovered this delightful well priced restaurant for our lunch. The menu is extensive and caters for all palates and dietary requirements. We were blown away by their wine list as it had a superb selection of Italian and French wines including rare vintages and aged wines. My... More

We started with the Peppered Mussels as an appetizer. I had the veal ossobuco (almost as good as grandma!) which I felt was my best meal in the 10 days in Italy. My family had Fillet of Perch with Butter and Sage and Fillet of Sea Bass with creamed Potatoes and Taggiasca Olives. Local house wine and an Americano made... More

We had a quiet dinner after arriving that afternoon. The outdoor tables all face the Lake so its a very tranquil setting. The menu was varied and we enjoyed the perch fillets and the lamb shanks. The price was reasonable and the staff were efficient so I am sure we will come again during our stay
