Two very commanding ladies are in charge of the restaurant and are a little intimidating, however sit down to eat and its all good. Best fish in town and terrific wine list, 20 euros to 150, we 20 euro bottle. Classy presentation at moderate price.

Probably one of the best dining locations in Orta San Giulio. The location didn't disappoint, the food was of high quality, service up to par.

A bit outdated and overpriced by the food is very good. Very nice staff and nice selection of vines.

I had a simple dinner here last week...seared tuna, salad and a bottle of rose. The fish was delicious as was the rose!. And as others have said the view from the restaurant is fabulous. .

A grand old family owned restaurant which is currently celebrating it’s 200 year old anniversary. There are wonderful views across the lake, starched tablecloths, good wines and even the older generations were hard at work on the Sunday we visited! Sadly, I think the food needs a little updating as everything we ordered was fried, oily and lacking flavour until... More

It's a somewhat cold and wet spring day. The family run restaurant offers a unique sense of warmth to guests. The braised beef dish is the perfect choice for the weather.

We did not stay at the hotel, but stopped for a light lunch with wine. Two of us chose the onion soup, which was fine, and the third person in our group, wanting to try an unfamiliar dish, politely asked if the dish took long to prepare. We were abruptly told that "This is not some drive-through cafe!" There was... More

Lunched there last week; had the set menu at EUR35 for four courses; very high-quality cooking, probably more appreciated by Italians than by tourists. I've read some critical reviews here, some of which may be justified but some of which appear to be written by people who, because this restaurant doesn't cater for English tourists who don't speak any Italian,... We had stayed at the hotel at the same address a few years ago, and on holiday this year we chose to eat at their restaurant this time. We only had a light lunch, but it was delicious, served on the balcony over the beautiful Lake Orta. My husband enjoyed his tagliatelle over which black truffle was grated in front... More
