Highly recommend. After walking through what looked like a dark area we were nervous about where we were going. When we got here, the service was beyond amazing. My fiancé is not easy to please (super finicky) and they really worked with us as they were trying to close. Paolo was amazing and patient. Made the experience great!!! Food was... More

This is quite possibly the best fish restaurant of Milan. I've had dinner here a few times, and on every occasion I've been delighted by a variety of fish-based dishes, be it starters, first courses, second courses, and desserts. Staff is always courteous, and waiting times are acceptable. The place isn't cheap, but in line with restaurants of similar or... More

One of the best fish restaurants in Milan, if not Italy (we have eaten across the country in 4 different trips). From the moment you walk in and see the fresh fish on display, in a classic nautical ambiance, with a superb garden view, you are in for a treat. Come hungry so you can taste 3 or 4 courses.... Our family of 4 so enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and ambiance of this restaurant - not only was the food outrageously delicious and so very fresh, but it was a lot of fun too. Go and enjoy!

What a fantastic seafood restaurant. The food is excellent, and the staff treat you so well!! Don't look at the menu, ask for recommendations, and you will be very pleased!

We managed to book at table (make sure you book in advance). Glad we did as the food is excellent. We asked for recommendations for the best food of the day and had raw fish starter with oysters, scorpion fish pasta, oven baked sea bass and a fantastic Italian wine. Great food, service and location 👍

My Milanese family has been coming here for the past 40 years and for my husband its like going to visit family when he comes here. Everyone is so warm and the staff is exceptional. On every trip to Milan we make sure to reserve a table here during our stay. The food is absolutely incredible. The freshest seafood with... More

My family and I had a unforgettable experience at Al Porto. The seafood were so fresh and delicious but not overly dressing. Chef/ waiters were so friendly and professional! As a foodie, I have to say, some restaurants, even they are michelin rated, I wouldn't care to go back for the 2nd time. As for Al Porto - it definitely... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
