My wife and I ate here in October 2016. We walked past a place at lunchtime and were intrigued at the idea of a courtyard restaurant and so we booked a table for dinner that night. Unfortunately the weather was quite calling Milan and although some people were sat outside, we were very pleased to be offered a table inside.... More

We were told not to eat anywhere near the Milan center as the food tends not to be too good (by a local), however our experience of the Dom Lisander was very favourable. We were met at the entrance, and even though we hadn't booked they soon found us a table, whilst in the meantime we were entertained with a... More

You must try their mushroom dishes as it is the season. The pan fried large mushrooms were delicious so was the mushroom risotto. Vitello tonato is also recommended. Very pleasant courtyard for lunch . Popular with all bankers in the area.

A group of us met at Don Lisander to kick off the beginning of our 10-day Italian tour and to celebrate the birthday of one of our members. First, the waiter snubbed us when we didn't order the expensive wine we ordered. One member of our party ordered a beer, which he never got. The service was poor and the... More

I visited with a group of people for lunch. The atmosphere was perfect and we had very good service. However, the food was only so and so. For first course we had Buffalo and tomato, which was very good. Then we had some risotto, which was dull and unfulfilling. Pasta was the main dish, which was rather dull as well.... More

Gorgeous lunch at Don Lisander. Outside seating in the lovely September sun. The best bouffata/tomato/parma ham ever. Great Italian experience.

In the middle of a city, there's Don Lisander's romantic garden. The food was delicious, the setting sublime and the service impeccable. If you're looking for a good meal that's in the center of everything, look no further.

Firstly the service of the staff was exemplary. In addition to its precision it was friendly and enjoyable. We were a group of 12 and everyone felt cared for and attended to. Nothing was forgot or confused. The food itself was exceptionally good, and given the venue and location reasonably priced, though it could look expensive you have to bear... More

Restaurant with nice terrace located near fashion square. Good cep risotto and wine. Unfortunate 4€ tax per person

Thank Thomas B
stefano m, Proprietario at Don Lisander, responded to this review

Dear Thomas thank you for your kind comment. Let me explain that 4€ per person is not tax but it's cover charge, that normaly includes the table settings and bread, oil, vinegar. Almost all restaurants in Italy have it. when not shown, it's included in the menu costs. We will be very happy to welcome you at Don Lisander in... More

they are trying to give an image of being a distinguished restaurant in downtown Milan, and certainly the prices are there to show that. But then it might happen, as happened to us, that, as the waitress brings a bottle of distinguished wine to your table, she does not bring a napkin with it, and so, when drops spill from... More

I've been waiting for this comment as it gives me the opportunity to bring to public and to Tripadvisor one more time the lies about what did happen at the restaurant. I asked to the maitre and to 5 waiters as witness of the scene and I can assure that the reaction of Mr. ebencive is absolutely abnormous in respect... More

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
