The bar has a nice background with books, but the prices, the space in general and the staff do not make a mandatory visit when in Navigli area, where the bars in the canals are much more attractive.

Tongs is a plce where local ppl like to gathering. It offers a wide range of coktails and spirits and it can be also a nice option for Apertivo. Most of the options are Vegetarian friendly and the nice thing is: you are not getting...into the typical "Carbohydrates style aperitivo " that you might find in most of the bars in Navigli Area.More

Loved the funky casual atmosphere and they have "book" crossing! You see a book and it travels around the world as you write on the website where it is located, vegetarian buffet aperitivos and I drank a house TONGS beer from a Milan BREWERY that...is hinted of ginger! Fun and during buffet bartenders chat with you!More

We had a prosecco and Chardonnay here on the walk to the Metro. The latter was decent but the former has been labelled the best Prosecco of the holiday, so much so I wasn't allowed a taste. Would certainly have been there today if we...hadn't have moved on.More

We ordered the black mojito and the Spritz, they were really good. And, what is better, you can eat all you want from the buffet. A variety of salads, humus and breads. Price for 2 drinks 16€.

Interesting bar for those visiting for a few beers and a good time with friends. Has more of an eclectic vibe better suited to Copenhagen or (a more authentic) Shoreditch but great for a glass of Grimbergen.

We visited Tongs two nights in a row (Friday and Saturday). We were able to get a table on both nights without a reservation. On Saturday, there was a kind of tapas bar which was free of charge - excellent touch. The cocktails at Tongs...were very nice and price was standard for Milano. The place itself is cosy and we really appreciated that the music was not loud, allowing us to conversate normally. The staff, including waiters and bartenders, were really nice and serviceminded. I would definitely recommend Tongs.More

Whatever you do, don't get a "Meneghimlet". What I got served tasted like a lemon concentrate. Scarce choice of food for aperitivo as well.

My husband and I spent our long weekend in Milan. On Sunday we walked around the Naviglio area which was chaotic and couldn´t find a place to have a nice but not hectic aperitivo. We found Tongs while looking for Taglio and had a great...aperitivo...and all for 10€- 1 beer, 1 spritz and food! They have a lot of salads, antipasti and pasta. I really liked the feta salad and the melanzane. Really good! If you are around the area, try it out!More

This place has some funky ales, great lighting, an inspirational bookcase and a nice vibe. We were happy to sit and enjoy a drink and the goings on of this funky little street.

Good drinks. Excellent service. Only downside is that they serve up their pasta on plastic plates with plastic forks. Given their appreciation for drink and design, I was disappointed with the throw away mindset in 2015... reminiscent of 1980's. I'd amend to rate 5 stars...if this changes (eg serve on compostable if throw away is a must or reusable if it can be machine washed with all the other drink glasses)More
