4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 weeks ago via mobile

Since this place is located 50 meters away from my home, I have wanted to test it out for many months and when the occasion presented itself it was a really positive surprise! The staff was really friendly and helpful, and the restaurant (30 seats max.) is extremely cozy and well furnished. The plates we had were all of high... More

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2014

As already reviewed previously, San Martino is a very good option in Milan. Having visited several times and again, quality has always been very high, all dishes savoury, and it became one of our favourite places, very appreciated as well by the (good) friends we took there. Service is very friendly with nice attentions like welcome antipasto and nice biscuits... More

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2014

Went there several times, both for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is of the cosy ones, which allows a spotless service and careful attention. Simple menu with a limited choice guarantees that everything is freshly made, cuisine is refined and all dishes are beautifully executed. Wine list is limited but well built. Special mention for the nice bread basket and... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
