Been here 5 times now and every time the food/is amazing. From you enter the door you get a special feeling that something great are awaiting you. The atmosphere is pure local Italian style and the same is the food & wine. Max is the...More
the salumi was most excellent. however the rest of the meal wasn't so great. Ordered osso bucco and veal chop as well as risotto and ravioli. they were ok but not stellar. they were bland and needed salt as well as more parmesan reggiano. note...More
Osteria al Portone, is a great little restaurant in the outskirts of Milan. Great cuisine and service are the high points of this restaurant, food is great and cooked with a homemade touch! Highly recommended!
Referred by hotel, was looking for small , quiet, great food at reasonable prices. Massimo and his wife do all the cooking and everything from what we could tell was made to order. Two beers, salad, artichoke pasta, veal dinners and a great bottle of...More
It is surprisingly difficult to find a good Osso Buco in Milan. The completely un-pretentious Osteria Al Portone makes an excellent version! The two of us had two different, both very tasty Risotto's as first courses, a bottle of Barbaresco to follow, and Tiramisu as...More
Nice and cozy, we had lunch. I followed the suggestion of the chef (strozzapreti with sausage, pumpkin and grated amaretti): not bad however I would have chosen a different kind of pasta. Pork shank with potatoes puree for main, again not bad however it was...More
Best food we had in Milan, the host was very friendly and there is an English translation of the menu available. We felt bad we had had a huge lunch and couldn't try all the courses here. Wine list is very affordable.
We were in a big party for an office dinner during the week.
We started with shared appetizers, with good ham, lardon and local pickles, then everyone ordered to their choice.
Dishes were Ok, but I was expecting something better.
Prices are reasonable
A cosy little restaurant, charming service and a delicious meal that reminded me of one of my mom's home-cooked dishes. Try ossobucco (with mashed potatoes instead of risotto) - it was amazing. The three courses ended with a nice surprise on the house... Worth a...More
Although Bicocca is a peripheral district, many visitors will find it appealing. The district is enveloped by the immense Parco Nord (North Park), one of the largest parks in Europe. Inside is the theater Arcimboldi, one of the most important contemporary theaters where concerts and shows are organized. In the same area, there is the University of Milan Bicocca, whose distinct architecture rivals a movie
set. Coffee shops, a multiplex and a shopping center are in the campus, along with the Fondazione Hangar Bicocca, one of the most famous museums of Contemporary Art.
