We had lunch here just after a Segway tour of Milan. Tired and hungry, the waiter and the wonderful prosciutto and parm-esan. I don't remember what the ham and melon is called, but get you some! Good wine, beautiful shop and great service. We left with cheese and ham for breakfast the next morning. Fresh tomatoes are two doors down!

Close to the Metro Station. Ideal for ham, cheese and wine lovers. We ordered mixed deli meats and mixed cheese platters. Fresh baked bread and hot fried dough are served with them. The vines are also tasty.

A simple and fine place to enjoy the best Parma cheese and "prosciutto". When the weather is fine is good to have a table outside, looking what is going on.

Super authentic place to have a drink. You can sit outside which is really nice. the owner kept making jokes even though his english wasn't that good, he made us feel very at home. As a vegetarian, they made me a special plate with mozzarella and parmezan which were both the best i've ever tasted. The others were very happy... More

The culatello is amazing, the gnocco fritto are great! It's such a shame that it is open only during the day. I'd love to have an aperitif there.

Fancy place with a nice terrace but still not recommended from my side: 1) Quite expensive. We ordered Salume (cold cut), ravioli and wine (60€). The salume came with gnocco fritto (both nice), the rivioli were not good at all and the wine...we asked for recommendation and the waitress decided by herself to bring us the most expensive bottle. 2)... A mixed of salumeria and lunch room, where you can have a plate of mixed cold cuts from the salumeria. We had a mix of cullatello, prosciutto, salume, mortadella, etc and this comes with fried dough and bread. The food was great, though we think that the service could be better. It's far from friendly, especially if you don't speak... More

Stopped here as we walked through the area and ordered the Parma&co plate which was great (pictured below). The bread given along with the dish was warm and delicious! Loved the salumi misti and parmigiano. Very friendly service. Will return on next trip to Milano!

Sunday brunch is a straight forward business at this place: a generous plate of prosciutto, followed by cheesy pastels and open buffet including İtalian dishes, salads and desserts. Salt and oils are perfectly combined to create tasty dishes. Although the buffet is small, this is reflected in the price, only 29 euros pp. It is friendly place that gives the... More

Staying in Brera

Neighborhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
