A bit pricey but it is Milan after all and very convenient. You can pick up wine, bread and cheese and be on your way.
Dear traveladd thank you for your positive feedback. We hope to see you again for a lunch break, on your way! More
We had a simply wonderful lunch here of chicken salad and beef salad, half portions, with wine and bread. There is also a choice of full portions and quarter portions. The half portion is about an entrée size. There is also a choice of hot food. The beef is rare and pulled, with rocket, and delightfully savoury. The chicken was... More
Thank you billthoo for your positive feedback. If you’re going to come back in Milan, we’re open every day from 10.00 am to 8 pm. Maybe you won’t have dinner here, but we give the the possibility to take away our specialities you prefer, in case. We hope to satisfy your palate again, soon. Thanks a lot, best regards. More
We were in Milan in the winter and were looking for a place to eat close to the Duomo. Most of the cafes on the street had outdoor seating and we wanted an indoor/warm place to have lunch. We decided to stop at the Excelsior mall for lunch, expecting a typical mall food court meal. We were very pleasently surprised.... More
We came across this restaurant while we were roaming in Milan Center. It is in the downstairs of Excelsior Milano. The first thing attracted me was the super market downstairs. Than we have seen the quality of the people who has chosen to dine in this restaurant and decided to give it a try. Pricewise, it is quite expensive (compared... More
located in the basement of excelsior (an ex movie theater) and right above the food store the open space restaurant offers a diversity of food ranging from sushi to the most Classic Italian dishes. What is special is the quality of the raw material coming from the food store. We tried a "cotoletta Milanese" that was huge, but delicious, rarely... More
The place is located in one of the most trendy fashion concept store in Milan but the atmosphere is not aligned to it. Tables, lighting and furniture are not really innovative and the service is pretentious and inefficient (they forget your orders and takes time to have a waiter available...). Food is correct but not special, prices are high. You... More
i recently had lunch there and my overall impression wasn't good. very noisy place with loud music in the background (considering that the average customer is middle age...). service not unfriendly but hurried. i had a hamburger and had kind of a "deconstructed" plate in mind. however, what i got looked worse than mc do, only that the quality of... Based in the basement of the Exelcior store, you don't go here for the view, but for the food, which is a way above average, and with a very qualified staff.
If you have been on Italy in NY, you will understand the inspiration for that. The market, the wine store, and the restaurant are all amazing! At the restaurant, try the Polpo Crocante, it's extraordinary!
