We wanted to have a nice lunch, but not a huge one, near our hotel, since we had just arrived in Milan a few hours ago, after a 9 hour flight. Al Conte Ugolino was recommended, and was a short walk from our hotel. The pasta with clams was excellent. The service was good, but shortly after we arrived, a... More

Have always loved this place and took a family member for a special birthday dinner. Inspired choice. Service was first rate and both dinners were superb. The ravioli with arugula and tomato was both tasty and eye-catching. My veal was simple done but perfectly prepared. A true Milan treat! The wine list is not huge, but there are enough choices... Even a simple cherry tomatoes/mozzarella salad tasted extraordinary! First class ingredients, excellent service, and for the first time the money you pay in Italy in every restaurant for "coperto" (seat/service) was worth it! In fact they offer you a delicious home made "focaccia", a slice of bruschetta, and if you order a coffee at the end of the meal they... More

Got a recommendation for this place from our tour guide. Food was excellent. Nice mix of locals and tourists. Quiet street with great outside dining area, which was well shaded.

We visited this restaurant on monday night and found it a lovely find! we were recommended by a local man who showed us down to the restaurant, beautiful out door sitting area in which we would have loved to have sat in but it was pretty cold!! Had a very rustic italian feel to the place and was filled with... More

This family run restaurant is near the Duomo and one of the better places to dine in that area. The service was friendly and the ambience was great. The menu is not as varied as some other restaurants but still offers a choice to suit all tastes. My meal was very tasty. We went as a group of eight and... More

This is a very average restaurant. The food was very mediocre. We had the osso bucca and it was bland. The room needs some work. They need some back ground music so that it doesn't feel like a funeral parlour. The lights are too high for fine dining, and a candle on the table would help. The price is too... More

We had lunch there after a morning of shopping. Owners and staff were very helpful in choosing our meal. We had good service and food (about 50e per person). The most memorable dish was a nice Fiorentina (T-Bone steak)

What started off as a good dinner ended in mediocrity. Shrimps with eggplant was good, but the homemade pasta with sausage and broccoli was disappointing. In my mind, I had pictured tender stem broccoli with a bit of a crunch...in reality, the broccoli was mushy and may have been frozen. The sausage was nice, but the dish as a whole... More

We went there several times with our friends there. They offer always excellent seasonal menu prepared in a traditional way and good service. They have good regular customers who create warm atmosphere. If you want to find a good restaurant in the city center, this is where you should go.

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
