What started off as a good dinner ended in mediocrity. Shrimps with eggplant was good, but the homemade pasta with sausage and broccoli was disappointing. In my mind, I had pictured tender stem broccoli with a bit of a crunch...in reality, the broccoli was mushy and may have been frozen. The... read more

We went there several times with our friends there. They offer always excellent seasonal menu prepared in a traditional way and good service. They have good regular customers who create warm atmosphere. If you want to find a good restaurant in the city center, this is where you should go.

We tried the #1 place on TripAdvisor and this place during our trip to Milan. Al Conte Ugolino was surprisingly very good! We have been traveling through Italy for the past two weeks and we only found three excellent restaurants and this restaurant is one of them. Dinner started with a complimentary tasty vegetable quiche. We also had their tomato... More

Very good food (both fish and meat with a lot of choice) but a bit expensive... Maybe due to the location, just behind the Duomo Average price for a "pasta dish" around 13/15 Euro for a main course around 20/25 euro

And we've been dinning there three nights in a row! With our 2 & 4 years old kids! The service is fast and friendly. Here is a perfect menu: Pasta tagliolini con tartufo, Zuchinni con Fried Mozzarella, SeaBass cooked in the Sicilian Style (in the oven with tomatoes) and Tiramisu! Recommended wine which I personally liked, Arquata Umbria Rosso 2008.... More

We were a party of four, got a nice table, service with smile. We were the only non-Italian speaking guests, so I am assuming the locals come as well. They are proud to display their fresh ingredients right after the entrance of the restaurant. We ate really well and did not find the prices excessive for such a central location.... More

My friend and I had dinner here one night, with two first courses, two fish dishes and wine.We were served by an extraordinary waiter named Vincenzo who went out of his way to make our evening truly pleasurable. The food was creative and very good. The restaurant is decorated with very large wall paintings, in the manner of famous paintings,... More

Located in the heart of the city, it is a very busy place. Food is mediocre, nothing special, prepare to pay 100 Euros for two including a small bottle of wine, all dishes are 25 Euro each, strangly. Last choice to eat.

Atmosphere is very relaxed, service is the best, Italian food is also great, Tiramisu is the one of best we have eaten in Italian, many customers are local, many are regular customers, part are tourists, and price is acceptable! After first dinner in there, we directly made a reservation for the next day's dinner, we will choose this if we... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
