My husband and I have literally just got back from here, having had the best dining experience of the trip. The restaurant itself is quite old school with a lovely atmosphere without being too noisy that you couldn't have a conservation, nor was it too quiet that you felt you had to whisper. Our waiter was brilliant. Incredibly friendly and... More

We tried this place based on the tripadvisor reviews and actually it was a good choice. Place offers a no-limit of gnocchi fritti which is sort of fried dough but ver very light. It can goes with cheese or ham or deli meat. They offers also something else but we just stayed with the above food. Located in a very... More

Went there for dinner and it was all excellent, but the antipasto starter with the little pillows of bread (gnocco fritto) was the best!!

As Milan is my hometown, I know pretty well that there aren't other restaurants like this one to eat a well done gnocco fritto. Everything is delicious in there, the atmosphere is very friendly and gives you a good mood. A must try

Unlimited puffy bread, excellent cheeses to put in them as well as delectable homemade jam...simple but excellent. I didn't try any pasta because I was stuffed. The website seems to imply that you can only get the fixed menu for €28 or more, but you can order a la carte without a problem and there are plenty of options. I... More

This place it's one of the few authentic "trattorie" left in Milan where you can eat real old style food, with reasonable cheap prices. The location it's lovely, in the Navigli area, very nice for a walk after eating. The decor inside it's like the typical trattoria style, who make you feel like you are invited to a family dinner.... This was our first experience to eat Italian food of this type, so we didn't know what to expect. It was fantastic! The salami and cheese plates were yummy. And the Gnocchi were delicious. It was amazing that the waiters (who were very friendly and helpful) just kept filling up the basket of Gnocchi without us requesting it. We certainly... More

How to describe gnocchi fritti? They are like hollow pillows of pastry about 4 inches square, served here with a selection of cold meats and cheeses, with replacement gnocchi at intervals because they need to warm. Enormous portions but we did manage to share a pasta and duck dish and a dessert, all washed down with prosecco. Staff great -... More

the classic Italian restaurant is a little bit hidden away in a side street. The entry door looks like "there is nobody home" - but the food is just fantastic without many frills - Apple pancakes with parma ham.., a beautiful risotto & pumpkin tortellini in butter accompanied by a lovely bottle of wine.. definitely coming back

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
