Don't be fooled by the small entrance, there are three levels with varying histories which the waiter told us about. Great atmosphere-eclectic and quaint. The food was excellent and authentic Italian cuisine. You must try it if you stay in Milan. Make your reservation through The Fork.

One of the highlights of our visit to Milan. Great food, good service, good recommendations for wine. Perfetto!

Incredibly poor customer service. We made a reservation weeks in advance with the intention that this meal would be our last after a two week trip around Italy. Unfortunately, our day did not go as planned. To get to the restaurant from our hotel, we took a subway, walked a mile, excitedly arrived at the restaurant, and was told our... More

The restaurant is located in a location very nice and well cared, the staff is very experienced and kind and the wine tasting, held every 2 weeks, is an exquisite event worth to try more than once.

Went there several times for a business dinner and was never disappointed: the food is superb, the service attentive, the location very interesting and cool (down in the cellar with the right atmosphere). Therefore, my full recommendation but the only point is - considering the prices it should be either a business dinner or you have some spare money....e.g. we... More

The food was delicious, as was the wine and there was a nice cosy ambiance. The staff were very knowledgable and the service was great. Prices are what you would expect for the quality of the food and there any lots of choices of wine for every budget.

I keep coming back to the Dogana. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable of great wines in all different budgets. There are old medieval columns and agricultural tools in a warm atmosphere. And the food is fantastic. I love the osso buco and the sliced meats are the best I've ever had in Milan. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is situated on the innermost circular road, not far from the Basilica di San Lorenzo Maggiore. When in Milan for a corporate workshop, the group went to this restaurant for dinner. This was quite a large group. The restaurant was informed in advance of special dietary wishes. Before dinner was served, the waiters enquired about the people with... More

I was there for a private party and we had the whole restaurant for us. The place is very cozy with different levels. Ground level is the BAR and in the basement there are the tables where to eat. Food was very good and excellent wine list. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Appetizer with finger food was excellent (ham,... More

Description
Typical Milanese restaurant in the city centre. Offering local and all-over Italy traditional recipes focusing on the quality of our ingredients. A large selection of Italian wines is available. Changing our menu every month we try to keep our offer as seasonal as possible. Open also for lunch with cheaper but not trivial menus

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
